I love cheap cars
I just baoght a 1988 ponitac lemans for $100. It has a 1.6 liter inline 4, but it moves pretty good. Also, it handles like a go cart. Unfortunately, it has a 3 speed auto, but if I shift it like a manual its moves pretty good. But the driver side door tends to fly open during hard right hand turns, should probably fix that.

I've got a few deals too. I bought a 1986 BMW 318i, ugly brown paint but absolutely perfect condition inside and out, supposedly not running, for 100 dollers. I took it home, sprayed in some carb cleaner, put in fresh gas and charged up the battery and it started up and ran like a champ. I played with that for a bit then sold it for 900 dollers. Next up is my 1986 Toyota Corolla AE86. After watching Initial D a few to many times, I couldnt resist it at 160 dollers, especially since a similar car on ebay sold for 3800. It runs great, but has some peeling paint, ghetto wheels and the door seals leak. I need to tackle the smog check, then I can play with that for awhile and use it as a beater. Also, last week I picked up a 1986.5 Nissan Hardbody Pickup. V6, 4x4 148k. Great paint except for 1 fender is starting to peel, interior and dash are good, just normal wear and tear. How much you ask? 500 bones I love cheap cars too Pics when I get home in a week.

I've bought a buick lesabre for $50 before....rusted to beat shit but the fun I had out in the field was easily worth the money. Also my first car was a $200 car, I definately got my money's worth after driving it for up to a year.

My son grabbed a 93 Beretta for $50 at auction. It needed some suspension work, but runs and drives great now (and it had, easily, $500 worth of sound system in it!) It needs paint to make it market for $3000!

Beaters are neater!!!!! merging with a beat up rust bucket is much easier, for some reason most people won't press the issue. My first car was a $40 Javelin. Bought it before I had a drivers license so my brother put the clutch it needed in it and drove it until I got my license. Some times I really wish I hadn't hit that tree.
