Best way to clean windscreens
Just like the title. How do you clean a windcreen, especialy on the inside, mines covered with streaks and i can hardly see when driving into the early morning sun.

Being obsessive/compulsive, I know a fair amount about cleaning windows. Any sort of glass cleaner will work. If you have tar or pine sap, a razor will scrape it off, just hold it like you would to scrape off old sitckers.
After you clean it, don't touch it. |
Very simple. Take the ultra fine steel wool...you can get it at Wal-Mart, and apply some Windex, or whatever your preferred glass cleaner is, and go at it with that. Then, take and follow that up with the glass cleaner again, and wipe it clean with paper towling. That works for the inside and the outside. On the outside, when you're done apply a nice coat of a good HARD wax, and that will allow rain to roll off the windshield, and make it somewhat easier to remove road debris and/or tar, and sap from the windshield.

I second the steel wool trick. I think it is 0000 grade that you need.

Yeah, but Rain-X wears off after a short time of using the wipers. Even a liquid wax does, too. The hard wax lasts longer...that is why I recommended it.
