intake and exhaust for a 96' Nissan hardbody

Does anybody have any sugestions as far as what brand/model intake I should purchase for my 96' nissan pickup? I'm looking to upgrade my truck a bit, and want to make sure I get something that will give me good performance for my money. The same question goes for exhaust and headers. Thanks to anyone with advice.

Don't fall into the hype of a $200 filter on a stick. A filter on a stick is just that a filter on a stick. If any difference can be seen from brand to brand it would be negligible at most.

My roommate just purchased an AEM cold air intake system that made a noticable difference. Not only does the car sound better, there is a definite increase in horse power. more than a negligible amount. Sorry if i've fallen for the hype, but I am still interested in finding a good brand and a place to purchase any parts for my nissan pickup

I'm sorry if I sounded a bit harsh, I didn't mean to. If you mean it made a noticable difference from stock to the AEM then yes it'll make a defininte increase in power. I ment from aftermarket CAI to CAI (eg AEM to no name intake on E-bay). Btw you hit the one difference that different tubing construction (length and material) will make, and thats noise.

No worries, you were just tryin to save me from wastin money on aftermarket to aftermarket parts, and I appreciate that. My truck is all stock right now though, so as you said I should get a noticeable difference in power. I've searched the internet though and can't find anything for sale. so any suggestions would be help me out a lot.

Make your own. WE have made CAI's for several of mine and my friends cars. They are easy to make and just as quality as anything else out there. Just make sure you do a quality job.

What if you don't have a shop....then you got no choice to buy aftermarket.

I definitely do not have access to a shop unfortunately. What materials do you use to make it? Specialtly tools?
