snorkel

ok so I am going to snorkel my air intake but i want to kno do i need some way of keeping my exhaust from going underwater in other words should i build a snorkel for my exhaust?

as long as the vehicle is always running, water won't get into the exhaust because it will always be expelling air... like slowly blowing bubbles when snorkleing (diving). just don't stop ;)

wellllll, it depends. Generally that's true, but there are times when an exhaust can suck in quickly even while the engine's running. The water might not get all the way to the engine (almost 100% that it won't) but it will get in the exhaust system and could cause problem. I assume this is on a jeep/SUV, so if you wanted to you could do exhaust stacks like on semis. Nothin' illegal about that!
