Meet my new ride, Claudia.

Years after obsessing about getting a true DSM, i am now the proud owner of a 1991 Eagle Talon TSI 5 speed with all wheel drive.

Her name is Claudia, and here she is:

She has a rebuilt engine, board .30 over, a turbo timer, boost gauge, K&N, and the balance shafts removed. She is very clean, both inside and out. Future mods are coming, and i'll keep everyone updated. The turbo boosts great, i swear, i'll never sell this car, I love it!!

Talon... "Claw"-dia?

^Heh, no, funny story actually, my girlfriend first saw a DSM with a front mounted intercooler, she saw this picture:

She said the FMIC looked like it gave the car fangs. And hence, she called all DSM's, "vampy" cars. The young girl in Interview with the vampire is named Claudia, hence my cars name.

Meh, as silly as the logic is, I still like the name.

nice car, I have a friend that owns that same year and color. It's a blast to drive...

They do look like fangs.

Cool car.

I love the naming process. Really good work. I don't know what a DSM or a FMIC is though. . .

Oh noes there are now VAMPIRE CARS! Btw Great Name for the car. If I named my Jeep I would definitely engrave it somewhere but I dont know where. Maybe the rear view.

Also what's DSM and FMIC?

From a page i found : "DSM stands for Diamond Star Motors - a joint effort between Mitsubishi and Chrysler's Eagle and Plymouth divisions. This partnership is responsible for producing such cars as the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon and Plymouth Laser, which are commonly referred to as DSMs."

FMIC - front mounted InterCooler. Like a radiator for air, to cool it down since colder air is denser air.

You know that is one seriously sweet car weird that I never heard of it until now.

They are really nice car...my friend owns one just like it, just it's non turboed. He's gone through two engines so far but thats cause the first time the time belt stretched way out from being the original valve (resulting in valves going in the pistons) and the other problem is he bought a junky to begin with junkyard engine. They are great runners..just make sure you change your timing belts when needed :)

Awesome car, there nothing quite like a turbo awd dsm. I had a 1991 talon before, couldn't afford the maintenance on it though. I plan on getting one in the future , as more of a weekend car and not a daily driver.
