How much is a 1996 banshee worth?
Im selling my car and someone has offered me a "1996 mint yamaha banshee " in a straight up trade. He says It is a stock motor with boltons like "toomy t-5's" and "jet work" it has a powdercoated frame and has dirt and sand tires . Could I sell this for $3000? I live pretty close to pismo beach so there is definatly a market for these type of things, but I just know nothing about them.
Any help/opinions would be awesome . |
$3k is in the ballpark but may be a couple hundred too high (at least for one here in NJ). A lot depends on your local market and the real condition of the ATV. You gotta figure if it was simple to sell he would have done it and could give you cash. I would probably tell him to sell it and bring the cash when he gets it.

He wrecked his car 3 days ago and thus the reason for the quick trade.A couple hundred is OK too cause I get to keep my engine and stereo to make it up to 3k.

In my general experiance, whenever you wanna buy something from someone, bring the money in cash and flash it in there face. For you, it's 3,000 asking, i'd take 25 one hundred dollar bills, and be like "eh?"

Im trading him a non working 89 transam . The engine is essentially ruined . He just wrecked his 88 trans am the other day and is going to do and engine swap. I would link to my ebay auction but im sure that wont go ovwe well, but there is only 2 days left in the auction and my car is at like $1000. I may see if I can trade my car - stereo,(rims/tires or engine or both) for the banshee.
I want $3000 because that is what I owe on the car, I figure its around what its worth cause with an engine itd be worth ~$4200. My beauty http://i24.ebayimg.com/03/i/01/a9/9c/8e_1_b.JPG |
Checked out your ad on ebay. If there isn't much other interest in the car, I'd make the trade. Selling a working Banshee will definitely be easier than selling a car that needs to be towed away. Very few people are willing to put in the time, effort, and expense to get a car back into shape.
As far as the loan goes, do you have to pay it off before you can transfer the title or is it a personal loan without a lien on the car? |
Personal loan. Yea I figure the quad might be easier to sell also. Thanks for the help guys, I do really appriciate it. Ill be sure to get up pics when I get it
