San Diego, CA.
I haven't put gas in it in the last week or so, but when i did it was around $2.19 or so as the mega-cheapass-watered down stations, and a good 2.25 for the cheapest for decent gas. Then the usual .10 higher with each grade. And i need to put medium in these days too :( |
Here in Mass it's about:
1.75 1.84 1.92 and 1.79 for Diesel I guess I'm getting off easier than some of you out there even though I have to get premium for my car (turbo). |
|

How high will it go before it affects how much you drive? |
1.999 for the good stuff the last couple times I filled up.

|
1.799 Regular
1.999 Premium 1.709 Diesel This is in Madison, WI |
took a trip to miami begining a feb. stopped at a gas station at one end of alligator alley and had to pay $1.80 for the cheap stuff. normal prices are:
cheap - $1.49 regular - $1.59 supreme - $1.69 |
i paid 2.10 for the cheap shit at the cheap place today. how can oil companies justify the differences in gas prices throughout the nation? over 50 cents cheaper in texas than in california... it doesnt make any cents (haha) to me.
|
I had to fill up last night, yikes!
$1.75 reg $1.85 plus $1.95 premium $1.60 diesel I have to drive to work and what not, but wife really doesn't need to drive much, and her need will be going way down. Can't afford $70.00 every other week to fill a car and a van. |
Great, just when I fill up, the next day it drops $.15 to $1.62
|
$1.75 for regular 85 octane in the Denver area.
|
Seen from $1.759 to $1.839 for regular today in Metro Detroit area.
|
87 - $1.93
93 - $2.13 Bullshit, I say. |
Here in middle TN Premium is floating around $2.00, which is a real pain in the ass because I have a 8.1 liter engine ('72 Cadi hearse). I tend to get around 5 mpg....good thing work is a short walk away.
-Joe |
$2.21 for premium at costco in Santa Cruz. $2.49 for premium at 76 and Chevron. Premium in California is only 91. I never see 93 like you do on the east coast.

Boston:
(I had to hunt for this place) Econo Gas, Commonwealth Ave, inbound Regular: 1.61 Premium: 1.68 BTW, If you find a cheap place, POST IT! |
Erie PA -
87 - $1.699999 to 1.80 depending if you are near the interstate. Diesel is around the $1.73 to 1.79 also depending as above. Prices dont really change from CountryFair(Citgo), Apple(Shell), or sheetz. |
Our prices are still hanging around $1.65/Gal. The vast differences in prices state to state are due to different state taxes, and in the case of Calif., the requirement for special air quality formulas of gas.
|
Anchorage
$1.63 for unleaded. |
Toronto right now, 61.9 per litre.
That's about $2.25 Canadian per US gallon, or about 1.75 US per US gallon. And that's the cheapest it's been in weeks. Probably tomorrow, it will be up to 76 cents again. Theives |
2.17 Regular
The most expensive city in Nor Cal must go to safeway gas 10 miles away, 2.02 |

All you SUV drivers stand up and take note, cause in 3 or 4 years when China continues to suck up all the supply, this is what you are going to be paying. |
now that's one of the reasons why diesels are so popular in Europe, a 2.0l (130pk or something close to that) diesel engine goes for about 100km with 6l of diesel
|
In the DC Metro area the regular stuff was $1.82 the other day. At Costco though it's like $1.64.
|

(I think that's about 40 MPG.) I know my Buick averagees about 9.8 litres per 100 km. |

I just found out gas went up to $1.84 here in T-town, and I need to fill up. Shit, I hate it when I guess wrong on when it's going to go up.
|
The most fuel-efficient car I've ever owned got 19 mpg in town, so I've gotten used to just not looking at the pump when I fill up. It's easier that way. :)
I remember back in '99, some friends and I went to Ocean City MD for Senior week. We were all outraged at how they jacked up the price to $1.14/gallon to soak all the tourists. Those were the days... |
Grape vine says that gas prices are supposed to jump up to $2.50-$3.00 for 87 oct sometime soon here because of some fire in mexico...
...man, that would suck a lot more if i didn't already have a blown engine, hah. |
HELLO EVERY ONE... I guess I beat all of yous!!!!!
West Oz (thats down under you know) 99 cents per litre for reg unleaded thats $4.49 a gallon, thereabouts. Applause please....... hehehehehehe . |

Downtown Los Angeles - no gas stations, more people walking and taking metro, but still takes 10 mintues to go one mile. There is this one Gas station (forgot the name) on corner of Riverside and Glendale. Low was in the 1.80's when I last went by past week.
2.24 seems to be about the average price for regular unleaded |

Fort Lauderdale, Fl. |
you know its getting bad when someone starts a thread about how expensive gas is getting.
over the past week or so, gas has gone up at least $.30, which is crazy. it went up $.12 one night, then $.08 the next and now its just slowly creeping up. my dad's got theory about why its going up higher and higher. the thinks that once the presidential elections start getting closer, Bush will put a price freeze on gas in order to gain a few extra votes, and put it under $2.00 a gallon. so right now, we are seeing gas companies do a sort of preemptive inflation on the prices. |

London, UK
Unleaded £0.80 per LITRE 3.5l = 1 US Gal £1 = US$1.80 and thus 0.80 x 3.5 = £2.80 per US Gal 2.80 x $1.80 = US$5.04 |
Posted before when it was $1.70 for regular
Now, it is $1.99/gal for regular St. Louis, $1.99 as of May 16th, 2004 Thanks a lot GWB! Before I was able to drive, I remember seeing gas as low as $0.79/gal. Soon as I can drive, price doubles and now it is even higher. Jeebers, glad I do not live in Cali though |
Yeah the prices are still nutz and keep on going up...gotta love how OPEC works....but at least gas isn't as high as the rest of the world so i'm not going to complain to much.

Hey, it's 1.00724 USD per litre here in Japan (Nagano). I believe it's 4 litres to the gallon so let's say an even 4 bucks a gallon for regular. Luckily I only drive a few thousand miles a year. Shit.
|
2.17 here in Michigan.
I don't know why people let this shit happen. Why is this going on? Why isn't anyone doing anything about it? |
1.89 here in Belmont, NC.
Truly incredible. Oh yeah. 1.76 in York, SC (10 minutes of where I live in Belmont). Gotta love taxes on gas. |

Its still bad, but considering the octane you get, it could be much worse. Couple years ago i saw 103 octane gofor $5/gal, so with increased prices, and European prices, thats really not all that bad. |
unleaded - aprox $5.50 a gallon (assuming an exchange rate of 1.5)
Now, I hope everyone in America complaining about the price they have to pay realises what it is like here!! |
In Slovenia...
unleaded 98 octane approx $4.1 per gallon unleaded 95 octane app $4 per gallon Disel $3.76 per gallon |
Southwest Ohio
$1.89 - regular $1.99 - plus $2.09 - super Interesting how the price of gas blows up to 2 bones a gallon when Light Sweet Crude jumps to $40.00 / barrel. Now with the price of oil hovering around $53.00 per barrel why hasn't the price of gas jumped significantly? We've heard about how the Gulf of Mexico rigs were impacted by hurricane Ivan and how the Nigerian oil worker's pending strike are going to hurt an already pushed to capacity supply side. The demand should be showing a seasonal slow down but not that much and not this early. Hmmmmm....Oh well. I'll keep taking the bus when I can. Saves a bunch on parking in the queen city anyway. |
South Orange County, California
$2.31 87 oct $2.41 89 oct $2.51 91 oct |

$2.49 regular unleaded $2.59 unleaded plus $2.69 premium unleaded I commute 100 miles round trip a day too. Lame as fuck. EDIT (10/31/04): Well, we peaked here about 10 days ago at: $2.54/$2.64/$2.74, and now it's peeled back to $2.44/$2.54/$2.64 thankfully. |
Gas prices here in Winnipeg, Manitoba are the highest i've ever seen them. THere has been almost zero fluctuation in the pricing also, with regular basically stuck at $0.80 per litre. Of course my car happens to take premium only and i'm stuck paying $0.92-.94 per litre.
|
Far North Dallas Texas
$2.12 for Premium (93) |
So-Cal's prices are very similar to us Nor-Cal. Saw a thread somewhere they were comparing prices of gas and prices of other daily shit in our life like a gallon of gatorade or a gallon of Red Bull , interesting.
|
a firm $2.09 - $2.05, in wisconsin, If I hop the border into Minnesota and go to the twin cities it's about $1.91
|
Gas here is about 1.93, any grade, and diesel has been at 2.10 for about a week and a half.
I though my fuel bill was bad. Then I talked to a guy around here who paid a little over $25,000 last month for diesel. (he owns 4 rock trucks) |
