The powerful 4.2 V8 with chain drive made an outstanding debut in the Audi S4 towards the end of 2002. Now this supreme power unit has been re-tuned and updated for the new Audi A6, offering powerful torque up to maximum engine speed plus an agile response and superior fuel economy all in one.

The new 3.2 FSI six-cylinder has all the features of a cutting-edge petrol engine. The new 2.4 V6 is the entry-level power unit leading into the versatile range of petrol engines available for the Audi A6. Based on the new engine block of the 3.2-litre power unit and featuring intake manifold fuel injection, this smaller engine provides an exemplary synthesis of superior performance, refinement and exemplary fuel economy.

....sniff, sniff...is that Bangle I smell around the butt-end of that Audi...?

Sweetlooking ride, though, I can't wait to see what the S and RS versions are gonna look and perform like. I dig the new grille-design on the Audis.

Good post

That new grille kills the new Audis. Other than that, I like it.

With the exception of that grill and hood lines, i really like the new look. The interior looks nice as well, but there is way too much crap on the center console. Theres what, 15? buttons... far too cluttered for me.

Yeah, it is a bit excessive. I do like that they didn't go too overboard and radically change the styling. It has a very posh looking interior.

Something like that is in the A8. I've heard that Audi implemented this system much better then BMW did.
