when one isn't enough...

that's right, 2 engines. one drives the front wheels and one drives the rear. how crazy is that??? (saw a show about it last year too)

I think the idea was first introduced by Citroen in 1960. The Citroen 2CV Sahara had 2 engines.

wow thats badass.
interesting idea, i would have to think that has taken some sweet engineering to get it to work properly together. keep everything in sync without one lagging too much. very impressive top speed. i'd be embarrassed if i was rippin around in a new lamborghini and this little yellow TT flew by me....

that would rock, I think it would take a lot of time to get both engines running perfect with each other!

I'd take one, and I'm not even the biggest Audi fan in the world. They do have great handling usually, but considering the wieight ratio was about 50/50 before, it must be fucked now!

Also, Mosler engineering will build you a two-engined cadillac. They use a 300 hp and 275 hp northstar, and the trannies are different. So the shifts are totally smooth, because one engine is pushing while the other is shifiting.
Also, one of the competitors for Sport Compact Car's ultimate street car challenge had a Twin engined Hyundai Tiburon with two turbos on each engine. For the burnout competition, he put one in drive, and one in reverse. They said the car just started to rotate in place for a minute. He killed on the dragstrip, but the handling was piss-poor. |

i saw something like that in a magazine but with a tiburon, both engines put out more than 600hp combined. don't have any pics, wish i did though. saw him do the coolest burnout where he put the front engine in drive and the rear engine in reverse and laid into the gas pedal.
