Rotary engine fish tanks.

What a great idea.
Something different to have in the house.
Clocks too.

From site:
All tanks are made from cast aluminium housings from Mazda rotary engines.
.........................................................................................................
I always had faith that Mazda would be useful one day.

Very Cool! It is amazing what people think of.

I can imagine that a certain friend of mine would masturbate to this, since he is overly obsessed with the RX-7 and RX-8.

Arg...of all the things you could do with that engine....why make a fish tank? I mean it looks cool, but i would much rather take those housings, not cut them up, and get an engine working.

I guess it would make a pretty cool decoration for a gearhead though, if you made it from your old dead housings maybe.

theguyondacouch 02-11-2004 11:16 AM

Awesome!!!!!!! That would go great with my Macquarium! gotta find one!

Spyder_Venom 02-11-2004 12:31 PM

check out the thread on those tables they are cool.

I like how those rotary tanks look like portholes, gives it that submarine feel.

RaDiAn 02-15-2004 09:52 PM

Hopefully it will not have to go to fish tank heaven though.

I was thinking of maybe getting one of them.... are those cars really expensive?

madsenj37 02-18-2004 12:25 PM

the base price starts at around $27,000, but I got the grand turing package, aerodynamic package, etc... almost everything but the dvd navigation, which can drive the price up. I recomend the sport package with short shift and 18 wheels if the grand turing package is too much.

18 wheels?

I was thinking more the basic car, I want to mod it a little!

Like lowprofile tires and all!

PoteMatic 02-19-2004 09:34 AM

Thats a cool idea i wonder how much they sell for...

and the clocks are from 99 to 132

the prices are on the website

madsenj37 02-19-2004 02:59 PM

18 inch wheels, excuse me, and they are low profile.

Oh damn, thats sweet!

the only problem I got is I would like to get used, but maybe new is better, hell I'm only 21 and never bought a new car yet!

Its a toss up between a 1998/99 2 door Cavilier, with a small body kit and ram air hood with a turbo and 17 inch wheels or a RX8!
