Who else loves Audi?

hey all.

i dont know about you guys but when i got my license i got one of my parents cars, and ever since iv been wanting to get an Audi, just cuz i think they are sweeet cars. They look awesome, while not too flashy, and are a decent price.

And under the hood is pretty good stuff as well, and while i never have done it iv always been interested in racing, etc.

so yea, any of u other audi drivers representing on the TFP?

peace

My friend loves his TT and I think it's pretty cool. I used to like how you'd see burned out shells of the 5000's on the side of the road. Those suckers had some bad wiring and used to catch fire all the time. I guess they fixed that little problem.

Someone say "Audis"?
Love Audis. Superb, understated road cars. Superb racing cars.

2005 Audi A8L 6.0L Quattro (12 Cylinder)

Best front end design on any car ever, imo.

Audi GTO

All-Conquering Audi Sport Quattro S1!!

The first 4-wheel drive car in the Grp B era. Not the best handling but a fire spitting, tire shredding monster.
Surpassed by the outrageous S1 evolution in 1986. Five cylinder, turbo-charged, 4WD.
Outlawed as "too dangerous, too much power" for a racecar in 1987.

630HP. 0-60 mph: 2.3 sec.
(The car was only 8 seconds slower around the Hungaroring Formula 1 Circuit than a Ferarri F1 car, 1985.)

"Accelerating from 180-200mph is like 30-40mph in a normal road car..."
-- Walter Rohrl (Audi Factory Driver)

For the most part, they break too often, especially for the money. My $20,000, 7 year old Oldsmobile breaks down less often than two year old $50,000+ Audi's. Lots of electronic problems, and just stupid little things breaking that shouldn't. That said, I'd buy an S4, either the older 2.7TT, or the current V8. I wouldn't mind an A6Q with the 4.2 V8. I'd buy a VW Passat W8, or V6 4-motion. Would consider a Jetta VR6. Other than that, the cars are far to unreliable to even make my LONG list.
