AMC Rebuild Project
Hey all, just thought i would share about the project my father and I are undertaking this spring. As the title says, we are rebuilding a '83 AMC Spirit and slapping a '7? 401 v8 in there. Should be a nice little short wheel base street pounder when were done. Any other AMC guys on the TFP?

Thanks for the comments. I'm thinking about getting the block bored out 60 thousands over and really putting some torque out of that 401. Its gonna be a experience with that big ole 8 in that tiny spirit. I'm guessing we are going to have to put in some sub-framing to keep the thing from torquing the frame out. Those AMC engines always made gobs of torque.
