Anybody own a 69 Dodge Charger R/T ?
I used to own a 69 Charger R/T 440 magnum.
Of all the cars I've owned it was my favorite. While I was away at college my brother took it out and blew a water hose. He then drove it until it seized up and left it. I only found out four months later; the state patrol sold it as an abandoned vehicle. That was in 1976 and the damn thing only had 58,000 miles on it. |
Do you want to find the car? If so your gonna have a huge task on your hands.... what part of wisconsin do you live in?

My dad used to own one. He tells me how it was his favorite car of all time. Then he got it stolen in Queens... only after 8 months of ownership.

My cousin has one from the late 60's or early 70's, I can't remember at the moment. Last time I saw it, I was too young to realize how cool it was that he had it.

My condolences. I had a 68 with a worked 383-went like a greased cat!

I wish, I would take on in a heart beat!

I would give my left nut for one.

I live Oshkosh now.
Once I was going up hill trying to pass this idiot in Oregon and he sped up. So I put the pedal to the metal and at 60mph it squatted down laid rubber; surprising me. My friend who was with me turned to me, smiling and said "bet you didn't think it would do that.' |
Oh well my brother is dead now.
He had a booze problem. Ten years later he asked me to forgive him and help him into treatment. He was sober until he passed away. |

Almost bought one but it was a little big of a project :s and 2000 miles away and not running...those pose some problems. But for $800......I'm getting non-buyers remorse lol.
|
Big Bubba, I can understand that remorse.

Actually this was a '70 model and I don't think it was an R/T (It had been in a field for like 18 years and all the emblems were off it) but it did have a 383-4bbl 4speed. Still, a sweet piece of iron. :D
