need some help here
 

Ok here we go 2000 Chevy S-10 had check engine light problem even after new plugs wires etc, so unplugged battery and now light is off but radio will not work at all. i am thinking some kind of ani theft to prevent radio from working if stolen and put in another car (just factory cd player stereo). however i do now know of any code or anyway to reset the radio and get it working again, nothing i can find in manual is any help either.

any suggestions?

iuf the check engine light was on it should have set a code.by unhooking the battery you reset the computor,might scan or have it scanned to see what comes up? good luck.

if the truck blows up who cares i just want the radio to work again and i know some vehicles have a XXX digit code you have to put into the radio or such for it to work again once unhooked was thinking this might be the problem but no idea what or where any such code would/could be, ill look at getting a code out of the computer to see why the engine light wsas on

think i found a close to this thread, doing some work on google and someone else had similar problem with a 98 S-10 had to call dealership with VIN to get number to put in and way to reset stereo to work
