Concept Car: Mitsubishi Eclipse Concept-E
-------------- I had originally posted this thread... link It doesn't look like it's too far off from the artists concept rendering...

interesting. it would definately be a cool car to have, in my opinion. it has a lot more taste and a little less "rice" than previous models (and what owners have done to them). i would hope that if this car made it to production that people would have enough sense to not put huge metal wings on it and such, ruining the lines of the car. it'd be like putting a huge aluminum wing on a G35 or something.
anyway, the interior will have more stuff when it makes it to production, always does. and i think the seats could use a little more bolstering :-P

Ehh.... i think its...well....ugly. In my opinion, the styling works, but only in the fact that it looks very much like a FWD car to me. And on that note....youd think they'd have figured out that if they ever want to compete as a REAL sports car, they hafta be AWD or at least RWD. it might be awd...but looking at the pics...doesn't really seem like it.

Talk about cab-forward styling! This thing gets a little too carried away on that front. In my opinion, it's fugly.

Yeah, this is a real concept car. No gauges, and unless it's hidden somewhere, no gas ... filler thingie.
I think it looks great though, although it reminds me of the 350Z in that I like the front, rear and 3/4ths views, but hate the profile. Heh. I was about to make a post about the e-brake being in the door, when I went back and looked, and saw it was actually the door handle...

Blech. No matter how I look at it, the car seems to be going backwards in every picture!
I like the hatchback/trunk opening though.

I don't think it's the most beautiful car out there, but that's not where they were going (or so I would assume).
Admit it, the car looks fast without it even moving. It has sexy lines and although some parts of it don't seem to go together it looks pretty futurist and cool. I'd rather see a car test the future rather than bring back all this retro shit we've been seeing. In conclusion: I neither like nor dislike this car.

looks nice. but its still only a concept, so it will probably be toned down a bit for production.
Two engine idea is a nice touch. Cab forward design is probably to achieve 50:50 balance. Agressive stace does make it look fast, though. Face it, its a car that will attract attention, whether you love it or hate it, and that is probably the most important thing when buying a car like this. Lack of any storage space (and a spare wheel/space saver) makes it highly unpractical though. I'll rather wait for the new skyline GTR, thank you.

Very clean, looks like they are copying the style of that lexus in minority report everyone hyped so much or the style of the 350Zs and all those type of cars now. Very clean look to it though, too much on the gull wing openings though, what's wrong with a normal hinge? and if your going to do it that much, just make the doors that way too. anyways I won't say I wouldn't drive it, but I probably wouldn't buy it. Rather have a 95-99 eclipse the newer ones are just too ummm. YUCK
