-----------

I wasn't able to find any of the mechanical specs on this ride, but when I do I'll post them here.

Interesting looking design. Already looks dated compared to say the Nissan Be-1 from the late 80's, and even the Thunderbird 2000.

Looks like they wanted a direct competitor to the Magnum. Wouldn't be too surprised if it got the Northstar v8 or some other decent powered engine.

It looks alright....though kinda bland. And that grill looks to me like a total ripoff of the T-Bird.

here's something interesting. specs for the '04 concept:
I-4 turbocharged
250 BHP @ 6200 RPM
325 Ft-lbs @ 4200 RPM (where'd that torque come from?)

they (GM) had a nomad concept back in '99 too, it had the LS1 in it. now a turbo I-4? shame shame, GM. they dropped from 5.7L to 2.2L turbo. assuming it DOES make that 325 torque (which i doubt) it's still not an LS1. does this count as a reason for hating GM? (see other thread)

i do like the look of the new one a little better than this one though...

i dont doubt that torque too much. GM has got a new very solid line of Inline engines...the I6, I5, and I4. They managed to make the little 4banger push out 175hp and 185torque N/A. for a little engine, 185 lb/ft isn't too shabby at all...specially at 2800 RPM (which other 4 banger can make torque? let alone down low). Now take the and turbo it...could theoretically make quite a bit of power, and torque. Could be kinda fun...turbo...torque..and good gas mileage (in theory).

Wait..nevermind. The nomads got the 2.2L you say? Bah...they should have turbo'ed their 2.8L.

That is just wicked. I love it. They'd best put a V8 in it. It'd be heresy if they didn't!

Well I think the 99 one was a sweet looking car and still do....but the other one is sexier looking, just need to change the engine.......I bet the new one is front wheel drive to...isn't it.

If they put front wheel drive in it they just fucked them selfves!

That car looks so good, they obviously won't build it. Or iif they do it won't be available here... any one else really pissed off that so many of the World's cool cars don't get legally imported to the U.S.???
