34 pictures of the 2005 C6 Corvette....includes a picture of the interior, engine, chassis, and closeups of the exterior. Great pictures, almost wallpaper quality.

nice car (as corvettes always are) but what was with all the secrecy? its not like they changed it that much from the last model.

More secrecy = more people lusting after the new model = free advertising by word of mouth = more hype = better sales.

Yeah, let other people hype the car for ya. That way by the time they see it they will think of it as a much better car than it really is. No matter how they advertise it...i think it is a sexy beast by all measures. Rear end slopes up a little too much for me...but still much better than it used to be. Just in time to blow the pants of the new mustang too

GM needs to get some original designers. That thing has a Viper front end with some Ferrari 360 Modena headlights slapped in it. Of course you'll like the headlights. They're straight from a Ferrari!
In typical Vette fashion the interior looks cheap and full of plastic. Accords have better interiors than that. |

Even tough the front end resembles that of a Viper, the new headlights are nice, has a built i navigation system/DVD player. And 400hp with the base model (i think the Z06 might have 500) is damn sweet for 30-40k

Niether is leather interior but it *is* nice. What about road trips, navigation, etc.

Proportionally, I think it suffers by way of the decreased front overhang. There's something ungainly in the proportions here that I think the C5 did well. Not quite sure - have to see it in the flesh.
Also, the abundance of longitudinal character lines are a bit over the top - roof - hood - flanks. Enough. But I think it should go like stink. |

I love how everyone always says "Chevy needs original designers they always copy other peoples shit and blah blah blah." And its always the GM haters that say so...why? I think its becasue they're pissed that the Corvette is fucking beautiful and will out perform that 360 Modena...oops did I say that....
The forward hood scoops on the 03 Cobra a stolen from the LT1 Firebirds.... The Integras and the 96-ish Celicas 4 round headlights are stolen from Jaguar.... The STi stole its wing from the EVO (or maybe thats the other way around).... The 91-ish MR2 looks like a mirco-machine version of a Ferrari.... The new MR2 Spyder stole its lines from a Boxter.... The 05 Mustang stole its two front hood air inlets from the 70's TransAms... Shall I go on? Everyone steals little shit from everyone else...sorry but thats how it works. Quit bitchin...you know its beautiful And fuckin fast Last edited by bad30th; 01-06-2004 at 07:15 PM.. |

Probably took out the passenger seat to show more of the interior as they already show the driver side seat.

i think it is a great car and am looking forward to hopefully driving one soon. i am pretty sure they are going to bore out the engine even more for the zo6. i think to 6.5 liters. i think it is projected to be as fast, if not faster than the viper.
this looks to be an excellent car but, for me there was not enough change. i think that from a distance it will still look like a c5. oh well.
