What is the fastest you have gone over the speed limit?
Highway/public road

Myself, 100 mph on highway (60 mph limit)

136+...actually took a picture of the speedo right before that. Still had 3k or more rpms to go too. Was pulling pretty hard, specially since i heard it rated at 137 top speed... Prolly a 65 limit...have no idea. Was out in the middle of nowhere on teh way back from Thunderhill. Oh yeah, was in a RX-7 'Vert.

go on roads where the cops are infrequent at worst, nonexistant at best.

First off, i dont think i have been ever surprised at seeing a cop on the freeway. The more offensively i drive, the closer i look for them. And at those speeds, you can be garaunteed none will be coming up from behind you. Find a long straight road with few to no onramps. Then all you hafta do is watch the road ahead of you and make sure if you see the tailend of a crownvic, you slow down. You dont haft watch behing you, on the sides or anything....just dont run into him. Its really not that hard. But if you do get caught, expect super high fines and possibly jail time.

Straight road, clear day, no crossing roads or streets for awhile. Push on the gas or twist the throttle and at that point I really cease to care. If I get caught so be it I made the choice to wring it out. Man I miss my bike.

I feel much better about my constantly driving 90-95 on the way home everyday. And that's only because the fast lane moves that fast down the hill. I guess there are too many cops out here to be able to go really fast.

I normally cruise 90 in my truck on the highway. Was busted doing 86 in a 55 in Atlanta, that was an ugly ticket

On Road Atlanta I got up to 130mph in my supercharged 285 plus hp Ranger

Was cruising 115 on the hwy in my ex's Eclipse, the detector went off and I got it down to 82 before he locked the radar on me and it was a 65 zone

Drive the deserted road immediately beforehand and look. That's what we do around here. Cars at intervals with parking lights on means OK for the next 1/8th mile. Lights off means you're screwed and need to shut it down quick.

Used that method and went from a 50mph+ ticket in South Carolina to an 11mph ticket.

my top speed ever attained was 130 (65 limit) in a 1988 Grand Prix. after about 5 mins at this speed, I decided I'd pushed my luck far enough and let off the gas, allowing gravity to slow me down. I was still doing 75ish when I passed the cop in the median between the east and west bound lanes of the highway I was on. fortunately, he must have been sleeping (it was 5 am after all) coz he didnt come after me.

havent been above 80 since then.
