140 in a BMW Z3 with the top down on the way to Vegas, it's surprising how fast you come up on someone doin' 70!
130 in a BMW 5 series from downtown Santa Barbara to Goleta. Usually 20 minutes, this time 6! A little drunk (and stupid). Lucky for me I got a ticket (wet wreckless ... damn lying cops) the following weekend, ending any and all stupid driving that I have done in over 5 years! YAY ME!

997? I would have been pissed and gone back on a cold day just to get four digits on the dyno sheet.

~185 in a 100 (thats ~115 in a 62 for you imperialists).
Funny that I routinely go 130 km/h on the freeway and I've had but one ticket and one accident, both at less then 30 km/h.

140 km/h in my last car, that was it's top speed.

Damn that makes my paltry 170 mph indicated look slow.

1 kph = 0.621371192 mph

334 = 207
325 = 201

I went 105 in a 65 on the highway back home in Alaska once.

That would have been one hell of a ticket.

I think it should be clarified for those who aren't so used to bikes that this will only work if you're on a sport bike. If you're on a chopper or cruiser, you'll probably just get a bigger ticket and possibly charged with evading arrest.

Also, after getting new tires (effectively recalibrating the speedometer according to one of those roadside speed display things,) I tried on the highway and discovered that my car shuts off the injectors at 110. My initial report of 116 was a bit high.

Are many women contributing to this thread? Here’s mine:

Took my parent’s GTO out on a back road two weeks after getting my driver’s license, and went 100mph just to see what it was like (exhilarating!)

Went 130mph (as a passenger) twice – once in Shelby Cobra (OMIGAWD that was a cool car), and once in a Nissan 350Z.

Went 110mph on the back of a Harley roadster.

Then I rolled a VW bug going about 70-80 (tire blew) and lost all desire to ever go fast again.

About 175.

http://www.youluz.com/dls/pafiledb.p...download&id=17

( BTW, the video is very shaky LOL )

I think that video only shows around 155 or, but, so at some point during that, we managed to get up to 175ish.

I've been 145+ countless amount of times racing.

Don't do it so much anymore. I've gotten to be kind of a wussy, or...smart?

RCR, what kinds of cars are those, and what did you do to them? The second picture looks like a Porsche of some kind, but I'm not sure.

One of my old buddies was doing around 150mph on his hyabusa in a school zone under construction, proceeded to wreck, breaking every bone in the upper half of his body, 10 years in prison, some huge ass fine and now he can pop both his entire hand / wrist out of socket so it drops like 2 inches down from his arm. its Grrrrreat!

I once ran down a hill, fell down and hurt my elbow; my mom said I would be ok, she kissed it and made it all better. I've run out of things to say now, so if you have read this whole thing, congratulations you get a gold star!

So he gets a stiffer penalty for the construction zone and the school zone. It's like the traffic violation equivalent of a triple word score!

I'm clearly not against going fast, but it's kind of important to know the time and place. Doing 180 km/h on an abandoned highway at 2 am, good idea. Doing 180 km/h down main street at noon, bad idea.
