137 in my old 1994 Volvo 940. It topped out around 130 but we went over a hill and I hit 137 going down it. Then I slammed on the breaks because I saw a cop and got a speeding ticket for 87 in a 65. Better than 137 in a 65 I guess.

Not sure about MpH but in Australia, in Kilometres per Hour just short of 300, rough calculations put that at about 185Mph. That was on a bike in a 100(kph) zone , roughly 60 Mph.
In a car it was more like 150Kph in a 100Kph zone which is about 95 Mph.

My friend had a '92 Grand Prix back in high school. I'm pretty sure that the GP and the GA ran with the same engine (3.2L V6). We were able to get it up to 122 on the PA turnpike, loaded down with luggage and a full tank of gas (this is with about 120k miles on it). Even going that fast, it still felt like it could put out some more speed, but we were coming up on other cars.

Maybe your MAS was reading too low...?

I seriously regret going 137 in my volvo as well....when I think back at how I could do something so stupid, I cringe...all that could have happened is my tire go flat, a car pull out in front of me, a car change lanes in front of me, anything like that, and most likely I would have died. everytime I think back about it, I feel like a little kid that was naive and stupid.....

125+ in a variety of cars, most notably my neighbour's Limited Edition '97 Opel Astra 2.0iE, which I could easily have pushed to 140 had I not needed to start braking for the impending stop street. Yep i did that in a 35 zone, in a suburb.

All of the other times I did it on rural roads and empty highways.

I've done 120mph on the interstate where the limit was 70mph, and I also once did 90mph+ on a residential street with a 30mph limit--with my lights off, around midnight. Both were when I was 19 or 20.

I used to Drive very fast....I've been 180+mph on a track in a Lotus esprit. The fastest I've ever driven on a public road is 165mph. I've got a wife and kids to take of now so driving fast is one stupid thing I no longer do.

Stay safe, Chris

My fastest is 160 in a 55. Long straight empty road that goes for miles with no exits. Cops just dont care in this area either. It was in a friends Vette. I've also been 140 in a 45 on a CBR929RR. I had no idea those bikes could get up to speed that quick...but it was a fun ride. i still wish I had bought that bike.

drive that route constantly, from indy to columbus. i dont have the balls to do something like that, there are so many cops on I-70 and I-71.

i once went 85 in a 30, that was my most over the limit, as for fastest, ive gone about 105 in my toyota corolla heading on I-71 south from cleveland

Visiting the University of Dayton from St. Louis (taking I-70 for 360+ miles) I saw so many cops. There and back I was up to 28. Going through Indianapolis, I took I-465 around Indianapolis then back onto I-70, and on the small stretch of 40 miles (there/back) I saw about 15 of the cops.

yea, indy is soo bad for cops, and the state route (37) that comes down from indy and goes to bloomington is awful. its only a 55 road but everybody goes 70, i drive it for about 50 miles and usually see 5 or 6 cops...those are the ones i see!...in indiana they have under cover cops in camaros....the only reason i know this is because i saw a semi get pulled over by a camaro...white camaro...no markings at all, the lights were inside on the dash...after that, i was like...yea ill stop speeding on this road now

all this mph talk is confusing me.

i think i stupidly went about 120kph in a 60kph zone a few times...

and i did manage to hit 170kph in 100kph highway.

but thats about all i've done (and am willing to do)

i think that puts me in the 25-40 category (in mph)

For a while in my 92 VW Passat GL 4dr 2.0 constantly broke 140 racing 80s camaros and 90s toyotas hondas ect. on the freeway, that thing hauls for stock, smoked the hell out of a lot of jap imports and american cars off the light and on the freeway. Ended up getting a ticket for going 76 in a 55 when I was doing 100 right before I saw the cop and got it down thanks to braking and downshifting $175 ticket for that one, After that I don't push it past 70 anymore, especially since cops around here are dicks now and drive camaros so you know your not gonna out run em in a little 4 banger against a Police Interceptor Camaro, they got me in my mustang for an "improper turn" because I turned out from a narrow street to a main street wide because I didn't want to jump the curb. Still waiting for the court date on that one. Think it was something about the Mustang Camaro Rivalry, and I was on the losing end of the Ford Chevy Battle lol. Ah well, no more speeding for me for a while, driving like grandma now, cuz 3 tickets and your out here so whew.

Over 100 in a 25 on a bike - I don't recommend this
Seen 140ish on the highway a few times.
Pulled over once at 95 in a 65 and accelerating, the stop lasted less than two minutes and I was asked that I "try and keep my speed down"

But that was on flat land. That puts me at 45 mph over the speed limit. Fast enough for a 4 banger!

Cruising 120 MPH in a 65MPH zone in my grandfather's '96 VandenPlas Jag. Gotta love those long, empty, New Mexican highways. There was an animal on the road at one point, a snake of some sort (probably rattle or bull) whipping around wickedly fast, or so it seemed from my vantage point.
