They have grown on me and I have moved to checking prices on some 996s. We will se they are kind of few and far between here in Oklahoma.

I'm a sucker for the vintage bike styles. Old cafe racers, stripped down machines..... makes me drool. Ducati has just put out a "retro" series and the are fuckin beautiful.
Here is their site I can't hotlink any of the images but they are sure to make you all giddy inside.

personally, i'm partial to the monster, but i think some of that is genetic. my dad is an old duck-fan. gsrider, those remind me of my dad's old duck... at any point in time it was in about a hundred differnet piueces as he was doing different things to it, but when he had it together it was a demon on the road.

GSRider, those Retroclassic Ducs are sweet!
Gotta take issue with their comment about the 74 Duc 750 being called the first Superbike. The first Superbike was the '69 Honda CB750, nuff said. I wonder if those Retroclassic bikes will see import here. If they do, I will be heading down to our local Duc dealer and checking them out. The old Ducs are the ones I dig (then again the old Hondas are the ones I like, the old HD's, the old Kawasakis, Yamahas, Suzukis, etc. Guess I just like older bikes, eh?) |

I'd have one if I had the cash. I need a good parts chaser for my Norton.

I'd like to have a ducati, but prices are prohibitive for all years. There is no way you can buy a ducati in any condition for under $2000 ( at least where I live... ) even if you wanted to restore it. Parts are uber expensive too, so building one out of junkyard parts would be impossible too.
