Anyone else obsessed with Ducati's?
I know I am.
The 999R is my wet dream. DUCATI 999R _ Type L twin cylinder, 4 valve per cylinder Desmodromic; liquid cooled Displacement 999 cc BorexStroke 104x58,8 mm Compression Ratio 12,3:1 Power 102 kW - 139 HP @ 9750 rpm Torque 108 Nm - 11 kgm @ 8000 rpm Fuel injection Marelli electronic fuel injection, 54 mm throttle body Exhaust Single steel muffler with catalytic converter Emissions Euro2 Transmission Gearbox 6 speed Ratios 1st 37/15, 2nd 30/17, 3th 28/20, 4th 26/22, 5th 24/23, 6th 23/24 Primary drive Straight cut gears; ratio 1.84 Final drive Chain; Front sprocket 15; Rear sprocket 36 Clutch Dry multiplate with hydraulic control |
I love a good bike...ducs are really nice...
maybe you should post a picture of it.... I've posted plenty of my current obsession |
I 'am a Ducati freak. I like the 996S best
Not obssessed, but I certainly appreciate them.
They have grown on me and I have moved to checking prices on some 996s. We will se they are kind of few and far between here in Oklahoma.
Couple of my riding buddies have Duc's, they sweet bikes, I love my gixxer though.
Count me in, if Santa's nice to me this year, maybe.....
I love them too.....my goal is to buy one someday...nothing beats the sweet desmodromic valve system.
yes....yes..yes...hell just look at my name
I like the 996. Someday I may even convince the g/f I need one. Yeah right, that'll happen.

Oh yeah, sweet bikes :) Just the sound of them give me a boner.
:) nice pics!!!
Well I would like a bike but my van needs work first:(
I'm a sucker for the vintage bike styles. Old cafe racers, stripped down machines..... makes me drool. Ducati has just put out a "retro" series and the are fuckin beautiful.
Here is their site I can't hotlink any of the images but they are sure to make you all giddy inside. |
always love ducatis but i know i would never be able to get one...a nice cbr would be just a good
I love the styling and sound of a 998R.
My auto instructor drives a nice yellow 999 , "R" i think, but maybe the S. He had it at school today....omg, i damn near shit my pants when he fired it up and took off.
personally, i'm partial to the monster, but i think some of that is genetic. my dad is an old duck-fan. gsrider, those remind me of my dad's old duck... at any point in time it was in about a hundred differnet piueces as he was doing different things to it, but when he had it together it was a demon on the road. :)
GSRider, those Retroclassic Ducs are sweet!
Gotta take issue with their comment about the 74 Duc 750 being called the first Superbike. The first Superbike was the '69 Honda CB750, nuff said. I wonder if those Retroclassic bikes will see import here. If they do, I will be heading down to our local Duc dealer and checking them out. The old Ducs are the ones I dig (then again the old Hondas are the ones I like, the old HD's, the old Kawasakis, Yamahas, Suzukis, etc. Guess I just like older bikes, eh?) |
Nice bikes but there website blows
I'd have one if I had the cash. I need a good parts chaser for my Norton.
Sweet bike! I wish I could afford one...
I'd like to have a ducati, but prices are prohibitive for all years. There is no way you can buy a ducati in any condition for under $2000 ( at least where I live... ) even if you wanted to restore it. Parts are uber expensive too, so building one out of junkyard parts would be impossible too.
I love ducatti's, someday I hope to have one... probably won't be untill I have my house payed off though
Yep, I hope to someday have a Monster.
I'll take one of these please, now don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind having a Duc either but.....

I like Ducati's, but I think they're too expensive. I'm more of a Suzuki guy. They're definate eye grabbers though.
