2004 Liter Bikes - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Hey guys, still new to this site. Just posted in the newbie thread.

In anycase, just wondering what everyone thought about the new liter bikes for 2004.

Here are my opinions, based on checking them all out at the Int'l Motorcycle show.

The 02 R1 is gorgeous and unfortunately makes the 02-03 look alot older than they are.

The 04 CBR1000RR has that weird lower fairing that looks very similar to the lower plastic on a Chevy Avalanche.

The 04 ZX-10R looks pretty cool. I know Team Green fans have been waiting for awhile for that bike.

No changes to the reigning king, the GSXR1000. We'll have to see how it stacks up to the new blood.

The Mille Factory is one awesome looking machine.

The 999 still looks way better in person than in pictures.

I totally go for the new R1. I find it verry nice looking and it's probably the first motorcycle with more horepowers than kilo's.

R1 gets my vote too. That thing is damn sexy. I love the big Gixxer, but hate the color scheme for '04.

The R1 has REALLY impressed me, both in horsepwoer, drivetrain efficiency, etc. Sweet bike.

Yeah, we'll have to see. Hopefully someone will do a shootout soon. Yamaha is claiming 180bhp on the new R1, which will probably be 150+ hp at the rear wheel. It also has ram air now.

I definitely think the R1 is the purtiest bike of the group.

R1 is a great bike and I love the new design but Im a huge GSXR fan so Im dying to see how it's compared side by side to the GSXR1000 as far as performance goes.

Yeah I rode an 03 R1 and man it was a fast bike. The 04 looks to be even better. I am going to wait for a true shoot out between the new Kawa and the R1. I used to ride a Kawa so I am kind of partial but the R1 looks really sweet.

kawi z1000 all the way! well technically its not on that list but still its my favorite 1000 sporty bike out
