I dig the M3.

-(UberMAX)- 04-30-2003 06:07 PM

I have to say, strifes car kicks ass. It damn fast, and does have quite the good acceleration to it unlike he says. ive ridden in it, and damn the handling is the best part i do have to say. being able to do 70 on cloverleaf on/off ramps is the best part. And buzzing around town, showing it off is mighty fun too. Love the car strife. Add those pics i took, there damn good ones, but again they may not look as clear because of the damn scanner, but defineltly cool. Now im used to driving the Red Rocket A.K.A 1993 Ford Explorer, which i might add still has some balls left if i treat it right and give it some loving. But you'll have to wait and see those pics once i get them. im ridin on 16's baby now thats Gangsta!! haha love the Red Rocket. oh oh and i also forgot to add im runnin 2 12' subs in the the back that kick ass if i may say so. ok ok, last thing to i promise, and yes strifes speedometer does say 200 ooohhhh thats so sweet

Thanks :)

I'm not real sure what my actual cars 0-60 time is, but this is what it is listed as on the Saleen webpage, as well as bhp and torque.

0-60: 5.2 seconds

RWHP: 283

Torque: 290 (It's around there...)

Top Speed: (Unknown: by me anyway)

I also have 3.55 gears in the rear.

5 speed Manual
13in. Brembo brakes on the front
18 x10 in. wheels on the rear, wrapped in Pirelli pzeros.
Lightwieght Saleen Hood
Leather Interior

That's all I can think of right now.

Where to start...

1000 rwhp in a Saleen Mustang? You're out of your mind. It would cost you in the range of $30-50,000 to even think about getting that. By the time you were done, even if you did do this, it would barely be a Saleen Mustang anymore. You'd have to engine swap, because a normal V8 couldn't possibly put out that much horse without you blowing it. 1000HP daily driver? Not where I live. I'm in California, and that's completely illegal. With 1000HP you'd HAVE to run slicks, you'd HAVE to have wheelie bars, and you'd never get away with driving that here. You'd have to cage the entire car, engine bay and all, you'd have to reinforce the chassy, drivetrain, and frame. The car would be so incredibly loud you'd break every sound law there is. I go to the local drags occasionally, and trust me, cars that are running 9's and 10's don't have your everyday V8's. It's not plausable or even practical to have a 1000HP daily driver. Some alcohol engines don't put out that much. Good luck sir.

Also, who's "Integra Type-R" is that? Reason I say it like that is because everyone and their brother has an integra here, slaps Type-R stickers on it, Type-R badges and thinks it makes it a Type-R. Show me your engine ;P

Now, here's my car.

1969 Chevrolet Nova - Purchased for $2200 2 months ago

Interior is brand new. Just bought a new radiator, currently running a Straight 6 250ci Chevy engine with a 2 speed Powerglide trans. It'll be up and running monday when I get a new coolant line (had to cut the old one to get the old radiator out)

Future Plans :

Chevy Small Block 350ci 350HP Crate Engine
350 Trans
Ford 9 Rear
Possibly a supercharger
Reinforced chassy/drivetrain
Cage
Disconnect rear brakes
Front disc brakes
PAINT!

Yes, it'll be a dragster. By the time I even think about this i'll be buying a POS $500 daily driver.

just reviving an old thread here :)

there´s been a lot of talk about cars especially with the oil price through the roof so i´m wondering what people in this forum drive. i looked back through the last 11 pages and recognised not a single person and in any case 99% of the photos are no longer there. but without further ado:

the volvo 850 that is sitting outside at the moment.
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g1...s/IMGP3543.jpg
the volvo 1800e i own back in au
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g1...s/IMGP2988.jpg
the volvo 122s that i own back in au that was my daily driver until i left.

Awesome! I'm a long-time Volvo aficionado. I bet they're all very fun to drive. I'd take a picture of my '94 940 mom mobile station wagon but it's not very pretty. :( But it drives like a dream.

I'm especially jealous of the 1800e.

i didn´t intend to revive this thread to beat my chest, i´m simply curious as to what others here drive. i´d love to see pics of the 940. embarrasingly enough my 1st dream car was a 93 940SE. i was hoping to get a 940 wagon here but in the end the 850 was too good to pass up on. the back seats fold down to give me hope though (i want to be able to sleep in the back.)

the 122 has been the most fun of all the volvos i´ve owned as it just feels like you throw it around rather than drive it. the 1800 is the car i´ve owned the longest (10 years this year) and has taken all that time and a significant amount of money and way more time (i did all the work on it myself including taking the gearbox out 4 times to fix a leaking seal :orly: ) to get right. i think ssomeone has played with the engine as it´s a bit hard to drive but goes way faster than it should :) oh and it´s survived a kangaroo to boot...

thinking about it, i already own my dream car although it´s not puctured. it´s a ´74 volvo 164 and for some reason i just really like that model. i guess taste is a personal thing.

I've loved the G35's since they first came out. Was a tough decision between the G and the TL. I must have changed my mind at least a few dozen times before finally picking one over the other.

I drive a £300 '94 Ford Fiesta 1.1. Dark green, no hubcaps (stylish ;))
Thinking about painting the steelies bright orange :surprised:

Super slow, super cheap, student car.

What are you paying for fuel as a comparison?

I think its a bit over £1/litre for 95, or £1.10+ for 98-100RON

BadNick 05-05-2008 08:12 AM

98 - 100 RON (~ 95 PON) is just a tad higher octane than our "premium" unleaded pump gas which runs 93 - 94 PON except in California where they serve 91 PON-piss and charge a lot more for it.

This past weekend I paid $3.80/gal for 93 unleaded premium pump gas for one of our cars, then $3.69/gal for regular unleaded 87 octane for our other car; I also paid $8.25/gal for 112 octane leaded gas for my car above, and burned up too much of it having fun so I'm going out at lunch today and getting 10 more gallons. Don't forget this is U.S. gallons not Imperial gallons.

I haven't done nearly as much as I'd like to with it yet. And even though it's a useless little 4 cyl. automatic right now, I don't mind it staying that way for a while - mainly because of gas prices. On 12 gallons (93 octane), I can get about 200 miles. That's a hell of a lot better than my (32-gallon tank!) Bronco was that I had before this. And it's not like I'm heading to Moab anytime soon...

I swear to God though, if I get deployed one more time, I am going to drop an LS1 or a 351 Cleveland in that fucker - just because it can be done.

I never want a big flashy, high-speed sports car. But I'm alllll about putting some heat into something that won't draw anyone's attention.
