Basically, a guy modded his car* to 18 PSI turbo boost. Car blows engine. Guy removes mods and tries to claim under warranty. Forumers report him

Guy in jail?! This is hilarious.

*EDIT: The car Is Subaru Impreza WRX.

that was almost as funny as Stangman the mechanic and his wild ride with a customer's car and posting it on the board they both read.

Hey yall, i got a honda, it has a pull cord and i cut my grass with it. Seriously, this dude is a dumb fuck and he got what he deserves. Any TRUE mechanic can look at a vehicle and tell its been modded ESPECIALLY when they start to work on it.

Much less common knowledge but even more important is that if you're going to do a crime, KEEP YOUR FUCKING MOUTH SHUT.

My daddy was a cop and freely admitted that without dumb criminals, cops wouldn't catch nearly so many people.

I read the WHOLE thing, that took a while.

I've got to agree with thier actions. He scammed, he got caught. Narcing is not what happend there, he bragged about getting away with a scam, to people that his scam costs money too. Dumbass.

I had little sympathy for him blowing up the car, that was stupid. I don't even have a turbo and I knew just by reading the start of his post it would end with the car blowing up.

Second, it is the responsibility of everyone to stop dipshits from doing dipshitty things. It's NOT up to "the other guy." That attitude gets us where we are today.

i'll second that, ain't that the truth!! in the end, he probably wouldn't have gotten away with it anyway, but why did he feel the need to broadcast what he did in a public forum?! amazing....

objectively, the dude sounds like a teenage dumbass who didn't even know what he was doing to his car. but if you're gonna cheat someone then BRAG about it, you get what's coming to you! what's really unfortunate is that judging by his last post in that forum, the guy didn't even learn anything....

"18PSI on a factory motor... Hummmm - smart kid!"

Actually, my friend owns a 2003 WRX and he runs 19-20 PSI on his stock motor. It's the stock TURBO that can't handle it. The guy bought pretty much nothing but a manual boost controller, tossed the PSI up and rode his car really hard in really cold conditions. That's just straight retarded. I'm glad he got caught, one less retard in america.

that I wasn't the sole cause of WRXs2Fast4U's claim being denied -- here's a copy of the e-mail that the service manager from Carter Subaru in Seattle sent me:

"hey .... it was us and so again, thank you.

Service wasn't going to simply agree to fix under warranty because they
were very suspicious about missing parts and etc, but your email was very
helpful!

Yours,
Joe Spitz
http://www.cars101.com"

So as much as I'd like to think that I single-handedly shut you and your s#it down, I didn't. It wasn't going to get okayed anyway. They saw evidence of your stupidity all over the engine and it was going to get turned down anyway...

I'm sure that makes you feel better. It's always nice to know that YOU are the source of your own problems and not others...

I bought my car from Joe, nice guy.
I think thant people a worthless for turning this guy in, who the fuck cares screw the japs out of a few dollars

this is pretty funny, now, if the turbo blew up and took him out, it would seem like a classic example of Darwinism at work.

This guy was effectively stealing from every Subaru owner. He deserved to be turned in. I don't advocate ratting out every petty thing but if you steal from me, well fuck you.
