nicest cars you've driven

alright i'm sorry if this is a repeat but i couldn't find anything previous...
what are the nicest cars you've driven? not been the passenger in, not seen on the street, not sat in, but driven.
i fully intend for this to be a graphics-loaded thread, so pour on the pictures!
i'm not very impressed with my own list, i'm looking to be outdone. let's see what you got. this is me:

I used to work at a dealership, so while I never actually owned any of these cars I still got to drive them when they were traded in.

Driven...

Viper GTS
Corvette ZO6
Mercedes S-Class...don't remember which "S" though
BMW M5
Ferrari 360 Modena
Ferrari 575M Maranello

That's pretty much it for the really nice cars. I've driven the ZO6 to it's max speed...some 173mph in the one we had...been faster in other vehicles, though.

Sion 10-02-2003 05:24 PM

Rippley 10-03-2003 12:50 AM

Volvo 850 T. Sleepercar like you wouldn't believe!

Toyota Celica, a 95' I think. I thought it handled really well.

Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 TSpark/Sportwagon 2.0 JTS. They're like freakin' gocarts on steroids...

wonderboy 10-03-2003 02:43 AM

A 1997 VW Passat 2,5 litre V6. 4-wheel drive and sequential tranny. Not that fast topspeed but a helluva lot of torque.

Silvy 10-03-2003 04:14 AM

Chevrolet Corvette C4....

Nothing like it!

Today I drove an '03 cobra with the stock blower replaced by a Kenne Bell, long tube headers, bosani catback, clutch, flywheel, tuned ECU, and 385/35/18 drag radials... it was... interesting to hit the gas on this beast.

arcane 10-04-2003 03:20 AM

s500 benz

not much but it was nice
;)

brandon11983 10-04-2003 08:19 AM

When I worked at the dealership, I got my pick of the fleet. The most luxurious, comfy car was a new Lincoln Continental. That car was fucking huge, the ass end was in a different area code. Big, fat ass leather seats, power everything, Blose audio... all the garbage.

The VW Passat W8 was a blast to drive. A 270 hp W8, 4-Motion AWD, with a manual shifted auto trans. That big baby came out of corners like a slingshot.

Can't say I've driven many cars in my young lifetime.

But one of my most favourite cars I have driven was an Audi A6 2.5 TDI. Very smooth and refined. Handled like hair to sticky toffee.

If you can give the A8 a go...

majik_6 10-07-2003 05:28 PM

Hmm, not that many:

1969 Stingray (my step-mom's..I think I drove it once)
A newer Lincoln LS (my dad/step-mom's) NICE
1995 'lac Deville (was going to buy it instead of my 'Stang) rode GREAT

But my favorite is (strangely enough) my '92 S10 with just around 10 times the book value poured into it in modifications (suspension and appearance, no engine mods...yet)

drag0nmanes 10-08-2003 12:52 PM

My bud's 86 S-10 with a tune ported 350 smallblock in it. Mmmmmm...

mvassek 10-09-2003 04:44 PM

1953 Packard Clipper, My grandfather had just gotten it restored, it had a flathead straight 8 cylinder with a 3 speed on the column. It had more power than anything I have ever driven before or since and it felt like you were driving on a cloud.

10-09-2003 06:47 PM

like this???

I own a Dinan Stage 1 BMW X5 4.4i, and an 02 M3 Cab.

I've driven pretty much all BMW models including a 1980 M1. Lotus Espirit Turbo, Countless vettes, including a buddies Stage 2 Lingenfelter TT C5. (Not the 427) Pretty much every series of Mercedes, Jaguar S-Type R, XKR, XJR. Porsche 993 and 996 911 TT. No ferrari's yet... but I'm working on it.
