oh come on now, ya buy a 4 cyl mustang??? its like putting a rice burner engine in an american car, which kinda reminds me of cars like Chevy Cavaliers, BLAH! Anyways, i dont know nothing about 4 cyl mustangs, I got a 71 w/ a 302 in it, good ol V8 power.

man, what you need to do is get another 88 mustang, and cut the middle out of it, front to back. now, your mustang that you want to drive, cut in half, front to back. stick a 2 foot wedge of mustang in between the half mustangs, and weld it all together. now put a bigger engine in there, like a 440. and if it doesn't fit, who cares? just rip the hood off and put it in there, loose. now, if the thing hasn't already caved in on itself, which probably will happen, rip that muther down the street until the engine falls out of the bottom of the car!

PS dear god dont take this seriously!

I've seen a 4-cyl twin turbo beat a well-tuned V8 NA in a quarter-mile. Not saying I'd take the 4, but it has potential.

Come on guys give him a break. I've seen people with the 2.3 put the turbocharged assembly in and then put in a volvo intercooler system and wow do they haul ass. And if you compare specs between the 5.0 V8 and the 2.3 4 cylinder you would notice not a big difference stock. And the fox body mustangs are considered compact cars.

My 4 cyl runs 12s.
Whats up.

An 88 GT is a mid 14 second car.

Dont underestimate the power of technology.

Wow, 12s. Thats good. My 383 runs 12s, 11s if I spray. But I saw a Honda run 10s. Shit. Faster than me. Wait there is a 69 Nova that runs 9's. Faster than both of them. Hold on, I thought I heard of a Honda running 8s. Yeah, damn there's one in the 7s. Whoa, 67 Street legal Camaro running 6s. It goes on and on. Calm down.

I have a ranger with the 2.3, it's not the quickest, but it still gets me around faster than a lot of cars. I know a couple people who have the 2.3 turbo and it really hauls.

This is funny: your car's horsepower rating is equal to the year it was made, yep 88hp in those bad boys. I could take that with my non-turbo Volvo, come on, and I have. 5.0 wannabes....

interesting as to how my lil '87 Turbocoupe still gets 33mpg, and at 166,000 miles runs 14.1@96 with the A/C on using pump gas. I won't knock the 2.3, it's bulletproof, older than most of the v8's on the road today, and quite the boost monkey.
