The Woodward Cruise
 

Anyone ever heard of it?

It's a huge event in Detroit...just curious if it's know outside the state.

it's great... i've not attended but I love seeing the cars that gather for that event.

grew up in saginaw, so i've heard of it, but never seen it.

I'm south of detroit, Toledo, and I've heard many good things about it. I've only seen pictures, never attended.

Just got back from taking part from about 10 until noon. Pulled off and went home for lunch since by noon traffic slowed to c-r-a-w-l. There are one helluva a lot of very nice cars out there.

Think I'll wait for the temp (both outside and under the hood) to cool down and head back out again.

I saw a ton of 50's and 60's Detroit muscle cars, but there were also a good number of Porsches :), a few Ferraris, Astons, Jags, etc.

Seems like 1 out of 10 cars were Corvettes.

I've lived within a mile of Woodward for along time and remember when the "Cruise" was just an informal gathering. Now, the best nights are Tuesday and Wednesday before the official Cruise. The parking lot at 13 Mile Rd is awesome on those nights when the hard core gearheads congregate.
I skipped the Saturday madness again this year. Sent the younguns to snap some pix, though. I'll post if they ever give them to me.
