New Car Time.
Hey guys, my shitty old car finally died on me and i am looking for a new car. I have been wanting a Subaru WRX for a long time and I was just wondering if anyone here has one and what your opinions are about them. Thanks.

Yeah go the REX. I have a MY03 hatch, which I think you guys call a MY04. Anyway its this year model. I love it, I reckon its the best car. I have noticed that they are heavy on tyres, my first set are stuffed after only 16,000 km (10,000 miles) But I have been like a complete wanker. But i guess thats why you buy a car like that. Being AWD they are so sticky. Driving on a wet road is just like driving on a dry road. And the brakes are to die for. I have only had fade on a race track, and they just keep pulling you up time after time.
All in all, this has gotta be one of the best bang for you bucks car you can get. Dude you gotta get one.......

evo = a lot more $$$ than a base WRX. the Evo is more on par with the STi WRX, but you're looking at $32,000 instead of $24,000, and there is NO knock off the sticker price, if you get and Evo or STi right now you pay $32,000 flat.

Ride in a wrx.... then in an Evo. You will then, all of the sudden, ever so easily rationalize the extra expense.
The same pretty much goes for the STi over the standard WRX but nothing beats the handling of the Evo, ive never felt anything like it. Its like a carnival ride. |

The WRX is a nice car. So is the EVO. I am not a big fan of the styling on the WRX, but I respect the car. The AWD can really get the car up and going in a hurry.
I am curious about Suburus market share over the past 5 years. Travelling to Colorado and Washington state over the last year or two, I have noticed a ton of these cars. Not necessarily the WRX, but the Forrestor and a couple of the other models seem to be all over. I saw a bunch of them up by Seattle. |

Market Share
These are of May 2003. They couldn't have changed much since then. If you don't want to look, Subaru has a 1.1% market share in the US. Unfortunately, I'm too lazy to look for Subaru's market share 5 years ago. Google it. :P

Thanks for the input guys, but it looks like it will be awhile before i can get a new new car. I will just have to deal with a used car for a while.
