basically they strip down a ricer down and turn it into a lean mean racing machine... a good read check it out! |
yeah, i saw the actual article a ways back
A pretty funny article. Wouldn't mind doing that to someone else's car some day ;)
I remember Hot Rod magazine doing the same thing with a '72 ElDorado back in the 80's. It was great fun to see the pics of that chopped up Caddy smoking it wheels.
Some mopar mag did a really great article. They rented, YEAH RENTED! a neon and put a 150 shot of NOS on the car. They just layed the bottle in the back seat and then used the winshield washer pump to suply extra fuel. They ended up blowing the intake right off the car. The artle was so funny I almost pissed my self.

Me and a friend were thinking of doing some weight reduction before going to the track next time, but the sentra article is crazy.
I was thinking more along the lines of removing the passenger's seats, carpet, trunk contents, putting spares on the rear and slicks on the front.. |
I saw the write up too, It was in Car and Driver or something like that in their April issue last year, it was funny as hell
Car and Driver!? never! it was in sport compact car. I love that magazine.
For small dragsters the most popular (and successful) on Aussie and New Zealand tracks is the Toyota Starlet S , usually imported second hand from Japan.
I don't think Toyota sell the Starlet in North America, so for those of you unfamliar with it, it's a (new) Mini sized hatchback; the S variant uses a turbocharged 1.3 litre engine. |
Urg, ricers. Still funny article though
A friend of mine had an old 81 Toyota Starlet, it was actually a decent little car. Even with a non-forced 1.3 litre 4 banger.
lol thats great....!
LOL! That's a great article!
