I saw two GNs on the road yesterday!

How rare!

I saw two different Grand Nationals on the road yesterday after not spotting any for months. They were GNs too, not TTs. I was close enought to see the badging on both. Oh well, a rare sight for me at least. Just thought I'd share.

Some nice cars, but I got you beat. A couple of ewwks ago, with no classic car show around that I know of, I saw a 427 Cobra, '68 Mustang, Mercury Cyclone, a couple of old Trans Am's, a '66 GTO, Chevelle SS 454, and a few that I don't remember.

It's good to see the nice cars coming out this season, isn't it?

I saw in one day a old Shelby Cobra, and a 1967 Selby Mustage GT350(well he lives around the corner from me:))

Saw a GT500 (in my buddie's fiero, he was like "HOLY SHIT I AM NOT RACING IT") on the road and later at cruise night I saw a GT350, a '69 Hemi Road Runner, '70 Hemi GTX, a few big block SS Camaros, the '71 Cuda convertible pilot car which was featured in one ofthe Mopar mags a year or so ago, and various other rare steel. Not to mention the ricers. Hahaha the organizers of the cruise night events won't let ricers park in the same place as the real cars, they have their own seperate lot. :D

Oh nice man:)

Wow, I haven't seen a GN since I worked for Buick back in the late 80's. That was a fun time.
Often got to take one of the engineers' GNX's out for a smoke and squeal at lunch time.

In a way that is sort of sad. Not every ricer is a complete moron. some are also car buffs and love old american cars as well. People should not be excluded from the group just becasue of the car they drive. They should be excluded based apon their actions or lack of respect for the group. Just because a kid puts a wing on a civic does not mean that he is a punk, but it is a good bet. :D

Had a GN....sold it for $4,000.....this thread reminded me that I haven't kicked myself in the ass for that for a long time. I must go kick myself now.

Also had a GS, but it was a POS......

^^4,000!?!?!?!? *slaps cliff* I thought mama didnt raise no fool?

But GN's are pretty sweet, though i've never actually seen one on the road, only at car shows

Saw one on the road yesterday, don't think it was a turbo model though. There's also a guy 3 doors down from me with a silver one. They're pretty cool.:)

File that one under " D'oh "

A local towyard owner had one for sale a few months ago. Actual GNX, but it wasn't in great shape, body rust, been sitting for a while, etc. Last I heard, the bid (Ebay or some internet auction site) was almost at $10k. Unbelievable. Whatever poor yutz buys it is going to get a basket case.

I was pissed the other day b/c I saw a GN rolling on 20's ... I was like WTF ... the non white guy driving it ruined a classic

tinfoil 07-28-2003 11:32 AM

Only thing better than one GN is two.

nash 07-29-2003 06:57 AM

I've been wanting to get a GN (or TT) but don't know enough about them to justify me getting one. Also, the maintenance takes lots of time and money and I really don't have the expertise. One day though...
