Schumacher to race for Mercedes
So Michael's making a comeback with Mercedes Petronas! I was never a great fan when he raced for Ferrari, but it will definitely be interesting to see him on the track again. I wonder how he'll compare to the likes of Button, Hamilton, Vettel etc.
Should be good! Quote:

Button and Barrichello just testing out The GOATs new ride for 2010...this should be good. German revenge for Ron Dennis and his Mosley fetish outing. Don't McLaren have Volvo engines for 2010? I think Alonso may have made a mistake...the Ferrari is getting worse not better...lets see if he can wake up Maranello like Schumacher did.

One thing I'll say.Schumi wouldnt be coming back if he didnt think he could cut it.
Its an interesting move. Schumacher is many things, but a fool isnt one of them...if he thinks he's still good enough and the car is up to it, I think there's a good chance he'll be a real threat. Lewis Button Alonso Schumi A pretty exciting season.

At this point there is no reason to doubt Schumachers abilities...his work ethic, racing pace and physical conditioning have always been the best in F1. If the Mercedes is as good as it was last year, than Schumacher should win plenty of races. I think McLaren is in for a long season -- they are getting at best, detuned Mercedes engines at worst highly detuned engines...bottom line is Schumacher is going to have a faster car I would imagine. I think the only guys with a chance of beating Schumacher are Alonso (maybe Massa) or Vettel, and Alonso is going to have his hands full as a first year Ferrari, but he is the real deal and if the car is fast he'll win plenty of races as well. I see it between Alonso, Vettel, Schumacher (possibly also Massa depending on the car, but I think Alonso is going to be a big distraction for Massa inside Ferrari.)

I wonder how well the Brawn chassis will be this year. It had a temporary advantage at the beginning of the season in 09 but soon everyone caught up. Brawn couldn't maintain their dominance after that, however they still did well. On other thing, I'll miss Kimi Raikkonen this year. |

As a lifelong Schumacher & Ferrari fan I am really happy to see him coming back, though I do wish it was with Ferrari, rather than Mercedes. But I think I can deal with rooting for Mercedes too, since for so many years Ferrari was the combination of Ross Brawn & Michael Schumacher.
