Help with a 2002 Infiniti G20
I drive a 2002 G20, and I just got the oil changed on Sunday. I'm having a problem that I hope the resident gearheads can lend some help.
Immediately after the oil change, I noticed that there was a small "bump" that I felt when the car (it's an automatic) went from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd. The bump is also audible and is softer and less noticeable going from 2nd to 3rd. Today I also noticed that the engine is running at a different pitch (the engine sounds slightly rougher) in all gears. I know that the fluid levels were fine (that's what it says on the receipt), but it seems like an odd coincidence. Any thoughts on what this could be and if it's a major problem or not?

tried checking the oil levels yourself?
did they say what sort of oil they used? what oils did they change? was it done at the dealer or at the local service station? i.dont.trust.car.repairmen.

No, I haven't, but that's on the agenda for tomorrow.
They used synthetic oil, and they were only supposed to change the motor oil. It was at a local station, not the dealer.

I would double check the oil and the tranny fluid...though I'm not sure you can tell much just looking other than fluid level.
Maybe they knocked a vacuum line off but I couldn't say which one, I'm just thinking in general. |
