New Solara
I saw some pics on the Toyota sight for the new Solora coming out in August. Has anyone heard anything on this car?
It looks awsome.
http://auto.consumerguide.com/images...Solara_lrg.jpg More power, better suspension, better interior. I want to see the convertable. Here's all the info that is out, plus pics. http://www.carsontoyota.com/html/solara2004.html http://carsontoyota.com/Graphics/solara/17.jpg http://carsontoyota.com/Graphics/solara/09.jpg |
Holy shit .. it looks like it was designed by Lexus. The front reminds me of a new ES300 and the rear looks like the SC430 convert.

The Solara and the SC430/ES300 are basically the same car.. it's the known as the Toyota Soarer in Japan and it comes in a 4 door hardtop, coupe and convertible. It's a goregeous looking car... and a shame they blew up the SC430 in T3... |
I think they made it too similar to the ES300... They should have changed it more I think. But definitely not a bad looking vehicle.
Everything besides the back end reminds me of the new Infiniti/350Z
The line across the body looks kinda funky. Especially over the rear wheel well. Kinda looks like the last generation tiburon. Woof.
Meh. I liked the old body style much better. They had something unique going on with the tail lights... Now it looks like every other lexus on the road.
the tail of the car is ugly ass.... heh..
It's like a mini Lexus SC430. I like the front end a lot, but the backend suffers from the same bored curves that the SC suffers from. That and once again Toyota has failed to put enough horses in it. Accord Coupe costs roughly the same and imo it looks better and has a better engine.
Yikes, that thing is ugly. Can't stand that back end...the side looks horrific...the front end...well, it's better, but that isn't saying much.
id drive it, but lots of other cars id rather have..
*edit in that similar price range and whatnot, but overall, not a bad looking car, props to them for taking the risk on the car
Sorry to say that car is gonna be more american made than any dodge or gm product.....should be a nice car if it continues the tradition of toyota reliability.
