Short in my bike.....HELP!!
I have problem with my 1984 FJ100. When I'm in neutral it revs with no hitch
but when it is in gear it hitchs and bucks if I don't put pressure on the shift lever (either up or down). The problem started after my last oil change and is driving me nuts. help out if you can please.

My guess would be something bent, broken or warped in the gearbox, perhaps the shifting fork. Someone over here should be able to help you defintively.

problem solved.
I simply ran a ground wire from the battery to the frame and the problem was gone. It would seem that the ground wire located on the engine proved insufficiant and a second ground was needed. YAY!!!!!
