"official " F-1 thread......Fuji Japan
latest rumor....
Felipe Massa has denied speculation that he will vacate his Ferrari seat at the end of the year. It has been rumoured in recent days that Fernando Alonso is so advanced in talks with the Maranello based team about 2008 that he may already have agreed a $40 million per year deal. The Spaniard's Ferrari team-mate, according to the reports, would be Kimi Raikkonen, after Massa was spotted meeting with Toyota officials at Spa Francorchamps two weeks ago. well..............on to the race xoxoxoo

As much as I dislike Fernando, I would be interested to see how him and Kimi would perform together. Who would be number 1? How would either of them deal with not being it? Alonso hasn't exactly shown himself to be a team player. We shall see I guess.

1 hour till speed has 1st practice....getting excited!!!
Zoom Advantage Raikkonen on his title charge Opening practice for the Japanese Grand Prix at the new Fuji Speedway circuit saw Kimi Raikkonen lead the way with a best lap of 1:19.119s, just under four-tenths clear of team-mate Felipe Massa. The 90-minute session was encouraging for the Ferrari team as rivals McLaren Mercedes had to play second best on this occasion with Fernando Alonso putting in a lap late in the 90-minute session to take third from title leader Lewis Hamilton. xoxoxoo

I highly doubt Alonso would go to Ferrari. Don't get me wrong, him and the Iceman would make a killer combo, but Massa and Kimi are doing amazingly enough already.
I'm super excited about this race coming up. Like Sato, I'm hoping for a rain GP! They're so entertaining. |

wow...sorry I missed this...on vacation with "My Old Lady" and the white trash trailer...........
The Japanese Grand Prix proved to be a real thriller with Lewis Hamilton coming though to take the victory after a flawless drive from pole position. The 67-lap race had a bit of everything, but the most significant result was Hamilton’s fourth win of the season on a day when team-mate and championship rival Fernando Alonso crashed out of the event. Hamilton extends his championship lead to 12 points over Alonso with two races remaining, while Kimi Raikkonen closes to within five points of the defending champion with his third position behind Heikki Kovalainen. some hope for Kimi.........Hope I can find a replay ?.....xoxoxoo

The race was a bit of a bore starting under the safety car. But once the field was allowed to race, it got better. About the only thing of note were driver error, which the rain brought out. Then the last lap Massa/Kubica duel was fantastic. About as good as anything I've seen in F1 for a long time. I want Hamilton to win the WDC. He's just that fucking good. My opinion of Alonso slides each and every day as more of the Stepneygate mess gets played out.
