Water Motoring

I am curious how many people out there have a boat and /or jetski? I personally only feel at home when out on the water, or UNDER it, and am STILL waiting to get the money for a good boat. But I DO have a Polaris 750 jetski! Who else out there loves the water like me?

Way back when I was in high school my parents bought one of those four seat jet skis. That thing was fast. I always enjoyed it and was very sad when they sold it but I have no money to buy one myself.

I actually got my scuba certification recently though, now that is fun.

I'm currently in Arizona. It's wierd being in a landlocked state with so many boats, Az actually has more boats per capita than any other state (supposedly). Lots of lakes that are plenty of fun for a jet ski. Kinda cold for scuba diving though, I'm not gonna lie.

I'll probably take a few more dive courses and get advanced certifications when I can. I might this summer actually, we'll see how much money and time I have. I love traveling and I love the ocean so diving is a great combination.

Just last week I picked up my new RAV4 V6 w/tow pkg and the tow pkg is intended to pull a trailer with a couple jet skis, maybe even a boat later. I've never owned a boat or jet ski yet, but will be getting into it very soon; nothing super high performance, just something to get out on the water with my two boys who are now 11 and 12yo. About five minutes from our house is a public boat launch on the Schuylkill River, and we have spots on the Delaware and also a few lakes a bit north from here.

Nick, you like speed or are you wanting a tow boat for tubing/waterskiing?

Del C,
I do have a "need for speed" that is playing out in my life on land, but that's not the main criteria for this water vehicle I'd like to get. Just looking for some introductory fun family oriented water sports. First I was thinking of two mid range jet skiis, but maybe better would be a small jet boat that a few of the family can sit in, water ski behind, pull tubes or a banana tube thing, etc. Sort of like this Sea-Doo 150 Speedster:
