Sound clips of my new exhaust.
I did the I/H/E thing at the beginning of the week, and today managed to get a few sound bits. Higher speeds and sustained running will have to wait until next week, but if you're really bored check out what I've got so far. Turn your speakers up!
This is the ARK DT-S exhaust. First the obligatory sitting still revving up clip. Several winds to 7k+ RPM taken from about 10 feet away. 40 seconds of revs This is what it sounds like inside the cabin with the roof off. To the redline (well, almost) in 1st and then a little bit more. 14 seconds accelerating to 50. This was fun. I have one of those triple suction cup things so I stuck the camera to my trunk, peeking over the spoiler facing backwards. You can see its shadow in the vid. 18 seconds accelerating to 50. That's if for now. As a bonus, here is a clip I did before I put in the I/H/E. This is accelerating fairly hard to the top of 3rd gear with the roof on and the windows up. The sound is 100% pure stock intake roar and I think it sounds wonderful! 18 seconds accelerating to 115. I want to repeat that one when I get a chance to see if the Cantrell intake + Uni filter increased the intake sound or if the exhaust drowns it all out. Results of that experiment to follow! Feel free to add your own if ya got 'em. |

Sounds awesome. Great acceleration too; I'm particularly impressed with the last clip once you hit 80 or so and it just kept blazing through without any sort of lag.
Exhaust sounds perfect - mature, not too loud, but not too soft. Good job!
