the GT1 is sweet, but i personally think they are a little ugly, they look like a 911 on a bad acid trip

$35,000 down and I'd only have to come up with $6,000 a month, every month, for the next 5 years straight!

1)Doubtful.

2)It's not how fast it goes, it's how it does it. And this does it Lemans Style.

3)Because there are only 25 1989 Trans Am's in the world

i don't think 50K would do it, personally. that's a hell of a lot of car to make up for, you could take it 0-60 fairly easily (respectively) but i don't know if you could make the ENTIRE car better than it, and if you did, it would pretty much be an entire different car with a trans am body stuck on top.

I'd take a GT2 over that GT1 any day. But still it looks like an head turner on any given street.

In order to qualify for Lemans each car entered has to have a street-legal production counterpart. They define production as 25 units or more.

No they didn't hehe.. reserve not met @ US $401,470.00

Frankly I'm not surprised; it's worth much more than that.

400k only? That is a frickin' bargain.
This same car is sold on www.carclassic.com for 750 000$ (so I'd guess the reserve is around there).
I'd buy that for 400k. Not at 750 though. Depending on the year. I'd buy a first year/model GT1 for 750k. And I would never buy an F50 for that money (they sell around 650k), neither would I get a McLaren for 1.2M$.

Quite surprisingly, it actually is a bad car (relatively). I have a friend pro-driver (Richard Spenard, if anyone knows) and he's driven one, and he said it really felt like a 911 frint end with a better rear. He wasn't fond of it. Said the Saleen S7 was much better balanced.

I'd get both
