Top Gear: Bugatti Veyron - AWESOME

This car has been my dream ride since it was a concept. Seeing it in action is hot as hell.

407.4 kph or 253.15 mph. The fastst road car in existence. The thing is pure joy. I've personally gone 170ish before, and I cannot possibly imagine going over maybe 200 while driving. 253 is absolutely unreal. I'd weep while driving and end up crashing. At 253. Yeesh.

Incredible, a real tour de force of automotive design. I wonder if I'll ever see one on the street ...even standing still?

I've not yet decided if I like the overall look of the car, but it's a triumph in engineering.

While I think the body design is well proportioned and highly functional, I'm not a big fan of how this Bugatti looks. I'd take a McLaren F1 over this anytime even if it is slower

The Bugatti Veyron may no longer be the world's fastest car. — Barabus officially unveiled the TKR: a new 1005 horsepower supercar the automaker says is capable of doing zero to 60 mph in 1.67 seconds. What's more, the car reportedly has a top speed of 270 mph — nearly 20 more than the Veyron. Power comes from a 6.0 liter V8 twin-turbocharged with dual intercoolers. The car has a full carbon fibre body and chassis. Further details remain sparse, but the automaker says it will sell the car for £360,000, which should translate to around $500,000, using typical automotive market conversion rates.

It's worth noting that Barabus sometimes refers to the car as being able to hit 60 mph in "under 2 seconds," rather than the stated 1.67. Even so, there is still some doubt among enthusiasts if such a figure is even possible. Nonetheless, . The TKR is said to have been in development for the last 10 years. The car is to be made in Italy and the power plant is built in the United Kingdom. Worldwide volume is projected to be 300-400 cars over the estimated three-year production run.

I wonder when we'll reach the limits of human g-force in a car. Eventually going 0-60 could hurt the driver. I imagine that someone with heart problems or who was pregnant wouldn't drive the Veyron (or now the TKR) at full speed.

Huh. I mean a 1 second car....that's substantially faster than anything I'm aware of. Over 2200 hp, 9.3L v8, 0-60 in 1 second still seems a bit out of reach. I found the video, and I've watched it several. The car is obviously really, really fast, but 1 second? I don't think so. I'd put my money on about 3 seconds.

1997 M3 with certain modifications. Not a 1 second car, but it gets me from a to b.
