NSX Porn

We dashed over to Orlando a couple days ago to catch up with about 60 other NSXs in town for their annual national meet. It was awesome. I am quite sure I'll never see that many in one place at the same time again.

Some of my favs.

Lots of mods that aren't my style, but this car made it look good.

I like this car because it was subtle. It's got flares all around and a taller spoiler, yet at first glance it's hard to spot it from stock. All the lines remain flowing and organic.

Versus this car, with spoiler and body kit that make the car something besides an NSX.

This one was nothing but race car.

Several Type-R replicas.

Scenes like this give me a chubby...

Damn, that blue is pretty.

This was my favorite Type-R. Looks like everything was 100% top-notch.

Okay, not my style at all, but in fairness it looks better in the flesh than in pictures. I give them props for effort well done.

Red red red red red. Why are half of all NSXs red?

Love bug season in Florida.

Looks good in white, too!

There were only 260 green NSXs ever imported to the USA. 5 of them, including mine, were there!

Here's a fine parting sentiment!

Thanks. Lots of nice ones ...a few not to my taste but to each his/her own. The NSX is still one of my favorite "affordable" exotic cars.

What the fuck does a back-window scoop do exactly? Cool off that super-hot back window? :-D

Nice NSX's, though..

Nice NSX's, though..
Force air into the engine bay (since it is a mid-engine vehicle). Seems silly to have a hood scoop when that's technically the "trunk" in the vehicle.

My favorite NSX has to be the sexy forest green pearl. I still like the flip-up headlamps instead of the new design too.

Sexy vehicles, thanks for sharing.

nope, that scoop is for the engine. That IS the engine bay. The racer does not sit under the rear window The scoops to cool the racers would be on the roof, and ducted directly over the driver seat.

A stock NSX has a solid cover in between the engine and the glass. Lots of boosted NSXs and the NSX-R replicas remove the solid cover and put either a mesh cover or no cover at all.

This is an NSX with no cover at all.

I'm not sure if a real race prepared NSX would have that snorkel connected to the air intake (which normally connects to the scoop behind the drivers door), but there is a lot of engine in not much room, so who knows.

Nice pics. Its funny how you say that 1/2 of all NSXs are red. I know 3 people who own them personally and 2 are black and one is green. There is also 2 other black ones, a white one, and 2 silver ones in my area. Ive only seen a red one at a car show in Toronto once. Never else in real life. I do know of a guy who owns a local performance shop who has a red one but Ive never seen it on the road or at his shop. Just pictures of it.

Awesome cars. I personally like the new projector headlights on the 05 model I beleive. I can't wait to see the new ones, rumored v10 I think. That's going to be out of hand.

Nice set of cars...just one question though:

Does this thing not get in the way of your rear-view?

Yeah, I imagine it would. Just for show as far as I can tell. It doesn't appear to be connected to the engine in any way and the normal air intake is through the driver side scoop behind the door.

I've seen pictures of race NSXs with a scoop like that but it's ducted to ITBs on top the engine.
