tacoma vs frontier

Im in the market for a mid-size truck and am torn between the tacoma and frontier. I was hoping to get some of your opinions on either one. Ive never owned a truck before. I need a truck because I need something to bring my sportbike to the track.

here is the frontier

I tried linking the tacoma but it goes to the 1st step. its basically the trd package and comes out to ~$24000

edmunds.com did a video review of the 2005 frontier and tacoma models:

They are both top quality choices. I'm not a fan of the TRD or any of the prerunners for that matter. The TRD will ride rough like a 4-wheel drive even though its a 2 wheel drive. The Toyota would be my first choice, but not the prerunner.
If you are looking for power the NISMO is very quick.

that article just tipped me over the fence.

it also seems that the nismo package is more than i need. i just wanted to take it on some trails here and there, not really hardcore.

will the 4 cylinder be sufficient to tow a 400 lb sportbike around?

I would vote for the Tacoma. I have had an 82 Toyota 4x4 since I was 16 and it was my daily driver for 12 years (still have it but my main driver is an Accord). Can't beat the quality. The 4 cyclinder is pretty peppy just don't expect to set any land speed records with the sportbike in the back.

That should be enough towing power for towing the bike. Automobiles are too expensive to make poor choices. I would still vote for the Toyota.
