tacoma vs frontier
Im in the market for a mid-size truck and am torn between the tacoma and frontier. I was hoping to get some of your opinions on either one. Ive never owned a truck before. I need a truck because I need something to bring my sportbike to the track.
here is the frontier http://www.nissanusa.com/configurato...61|64|65|7|8|9 I tried linking the tacoma but it goes to the 1st step. its basically the trd package and comes out to ~$24000 http://www.tmsbuyatoyota.com/configu...BYO&from_bat=1 Last edited by jfelco; 07-01-2006 at 09:10 PM.. |

They are both top quality choices. I'm not a fan of the TRD or any of the prerunners for that matter. The TRD will ride rough like a 4-wheel drive even though its a 2 wheel drive. The Toyota would be my first choice, but not the prerunner.
If you are looking for power the NISMO is very quick. |

that article just tipped me over the fence.
it also seems that the nismo package is more than i need. i just wanted to take it on some trails here and there, not really hardcore. will the 4 cylinder be sufficient to tow a 400 lb sportbike around? |

I would vote for the Tacoma. I have had an 82 Toyota 4x4 since I was 16 and it was my daily driver for 12 years (still have it but my main driver is an Accord). Can't beat the quality. The 4 cyclinder is pretty peppy just don't expect to set any land speed records with the sportbike in the back.
