Im a Ford guy, but theres something about that body style/ size of car I've always liked. In my mind it falls somewhere between a mustang and crownvic in size (there goes the Ford stuff again). Its just big enough to be mean, while not being a land yacht. Nice looking car.

Not being a car guy (as far as i know, inside my engine, there are rabbits running on wheels), but cool looking ride. I was trying to get an idea where you live in Kingston. Nice shot of the Wolfe Islander there.

Nice ride for sure.

Very nice, Pain Train, congratulations. For me, I think that's probably my favorite Chevelle body style and yours sure looks like a very nice clean example.

Btw, where they called "Chevelle" or "Malibu" in Canada back then? I spent a lot of time in Canada, most Summers with my cousins in the Toronto area, and I remember the strange-to-U.S. names like Acadia, Parisianne (aka Bonneville) etc.

Nice ride!
I may be wrong but I was always understood they were Chevelle's and the Malibu was a version. I remember my mother bought a brand new 69' and my older brother switched off driving that and his 56 vet. He blew the trany(sp?) in the Malibu and my parents were pissed. I sure wish I would have gotten either one of those. I had a 73 Mustang convertable that was nice with top down but I would rather of had one of the other two.

Here's a reference to what I thought.

Other new '68 Chevelle features include a Hide-A-Way windshield wiper system (standard with SS 396, Malibu and Concours models), new exhaust emmission control systems, and as you can see, exciting new long hood / short deck style that smacks of a true sports car. There are, of course, many extra-cost options and custom features you can order to virtually customize your kind of car. Some are shown throughout and a complete list is available.

That's the way I remember it ...even in the U.S. the Malibu was a somewhat "upscale" or sporty version of a Chevelle, then up to the "SS" model. I was also questioning the unique Canadian names given to many of the domestic North American made Ford, GM, Chrysler cars back before the '90's.
