Those were the words she left me with
On the 23 of July

It can't be so easily described my fading love for her.
It's not dead, but I feel that the flame is slowly burning down to nothing.
Not a "goodbye", no farewell kiss, just a blunt reminder
That I can't be the one who pleases her.

This poem is so striking in it's emotion. There's very little 'fluff.' The first thing I think of is, "ouch."
