Just something that popped into my head sitting here tonight. Don't really know where it came from, but it seemed cool enough. Feedback is appreciated

Things Die...
Deal with it...

Those were the words she left me with
On the 23 of July

It can't be so easily described my fading love for her.
It's not dead, but I feel that the flame is slowly burning down to nothing.
Not a "goodbye", no farewell kiss, just a blunt reminder
That I can't be the one who pleases her.

This poem is so striking in it's emotion. There's very little 'fluff.' The first thing I think of is, "ouch."
