Neko's old poetry!

Wow it seems when the creative parts of my life come up, it tends to be "Old Stuff"...I really should work on new stuff.

Beach In Avalon

Hold your hand up love; the wind will take the sand.
Refracting light dances upon us, a chaotic ethereal band.
It's peaceful to stare at you, warmth caresses my mind.
You match the wind around us, beauty you cannot bind.
We sit and hear the crashing, strong yet gentle waves.
Roaring up the silky sand, compressed and silver paved.
The chaos of the real world dare not touch us for they fear;
To taint the impurity of their resolve, their end is way to near.
You know that peace is our only neighbor, that smiles platinum pure.
You show your love in silence, and that's your only lure.
So I sit and stare in silence, your hair dancing as in song.
Listening to waves upon us, our feet stretched out long.
So I ask again love, lift up the silver sand.
Let the wind take it away, enthrall us in this land.
For as the sand drops down, and refracts the sun fueled light.
In reminds me of my love for you, peaceful inner sight.

Dragon Slayer

"Wake up you, you lizard face flea!!"
"So I can kill you, to hell with ye!!"
"You've killed my family, you've killed my friends!!"
"Even if I die, your slaughter will end!!"

The dragon sighed, threw a disgusted look.
how should he die? Impaled on a hook?
Or tear him to pieces, his heart to his ears.
all brandished like trophies, impaled on bronze spears.

"Brave little warrior, your the fifth in a day."
"I need another meal, so come you this way."
"I'll give you a chance, I'll give you a swing."
"If you are sure, that it's my death that you bring."
"If I should perish, my ego my killer."
"You can rip out my heart, and set it atop a gold pillar.
"So my valient lunch, unsheath thy sure kill sword."
"I cannot wait forever, I so soon might be so....bored."

The knight was bewildered, not knowing what to do.
No choice but to swing, to sever the drake in two.
He dashed towards the dragon, his sword in his hand.
And took a mighty swing, which silenced the land.
The dragon sat laughing, The knight now lay dead.
About a minute later, landed the knights head.

"I may one day die, but that is not this day."
"I beg you be patient, and let nature pave her way."

Pearl

The air sings it darkened chant, I a victim of its lure.
I seek desire ever distant, I seek an instant cure.
Tell me love why do we worry? there's little for us to say.
Us together for eternity? There is no other way.
Change your mind, and feel so different, break away my love.
I'll still be there waiting, and crying. Rain is falling from above.
I gag on breath I cannot stop, I wish the pain would go.
I've little more then nothingness, soon washed away in snow.
Your face is what I see when my eyes are closed at night.
Your memory is all that's left in me, when the darkness turns to light.

weeee I love old poetry. I can't wait to find these in my attic when I'm 40 and share them with my wife. We will laugh, have a glass of wine, and remember what it was like to be children again.

Hesitate. Pull me in.
Breath on breath. Skin on skin.
Loving deep. Falling fast.
All right here. Let this last.
Here with our lips locked tight.
Baby the time is right for us...
to forget about us.
