In Love (an old poem I just found)
In Love
by Andrew Ferguson harvferg at hotmail dot com 1993 with eyes closed and nose held you jump the visions flash past you the flocks of birds under the balconies the crying relatives the crowds of onlookers the clergymen and their amplified voices your body unfolds slowly like a rose you stretch your arms out to embrace the oncoming carnage to touch the gentle pavement as you sink the colors explode in their new-found brightness the carnival ride takes you around and around and down your emotions grab hold of your body your muscles flex and tighten in a moment of clarity you understand everything your heart is beyond your control this is new and exciting nobody has ever felt this way before as you cater to the firmness of her breast as you kiss her again for the first time your feet hit the ground in a beautiful blend of flesh, bone and concrete |

your poem is different from what I'm used to reading. Not in a bad way, it makes me think of love in a different fashion and yet it feels comfortable. Thanks for sharing.
