Bored at work .. writing on the fly...

I stand there shivering in the cold, like a child left abandoned on the first day of school to fend for himself as he may. A purple hue grazes my left peripheral vision as I stare ahead at nothing and everything all at once. I lift my hand to feel what may lay within reach but feel nothing, no wind, no resistance, not even the motion of the lifting arm that moved hand within my field of vision.

Another flash of brilliance looms ahead and I see the billion points of light grow and spread as i pass through it into darkness again. As the moment passes I think upon the silence that permeates me to the core and wonder foolishly why I do not hear anything as i rush past and through what must be a myriad of churning and burning forges of the heavens.

Finally for the first time I feel something as I change direction. In the depths of my mind I know that it's just a simple movement, but having been so still for so long it feels like a lurch that sidles my stomach up agains my spine for an instant and then all is still again as my elastic internal organs succumb to the respite that was intertia and fall into thier natural form as yet another moment has passed.

I know not how long it has been since I began this trudge, as I have no recollection of sleeping and have had no time for boredom to slip into my mind as my sight is assailed on all sides by colors as vibrant as the most vivid sunset, ranging from the coolest touch of violet just at the range of my eyesight, to the most brigtly represented colors of every range. While I know that I must be exhausted physically I am mentally aware and alert. To miss even a blink of any of this is a great loss to my soul.
