Eating & Fitness
As my other thread indicates I am getting back into running and fitness.
Can all your pros out there tell me when I should be eating my meals & food. And what should I be eating? Cheers |
I will say what I have said in almost all threads I have posted on in health and fitness. Go to a nutrionist(sic). They are great and cheap. They are your best bet to good health. So many people ignore the fact that what we eat is sooo important to good health AND everyone is differn't.

Depends on your goals for one. Are you bulking up because you are skinny, or are you cutting down because you are chubby? Has to be one or the other to be efficient. Working out is about 50% diet, believe it or not. www.bodybuilding.com is a good place to look for diet info. Go to forums, then to nutrition.
You really shouldn't work out if you don't have the knowledge, because you are wasting your time. So go there and learn then hit the weights hard. :) I would post a good diet for you, but I'm not a fan of just posting diets without knowing anything about the person I am post it for, or that person's goals. Good luck. |
i don't work out.
i just run three or four days a week. i am neither too skinny not too fat. i simply like running and want to make sure that i (a) don't do myself hsrm by running/eating at the wrong time and (b) am making the most of this exercise with an appropriate diet (e.g. is it enough to eat a healthy diet or should I have more carbs on the days I run, that sort of thing). what triggered this: i currently run before meals, because I don't want to get a stitch or bad digestion by running after them. so i get home from an hours run and am starving. so then cook myself a *huge* spaghetti bolognese meal and eat it. then I think: is this really wise? am I undoing all the good I've done by just running? what's for dessert? hope this helps you help me. thanks |
