Size question
Growing up I was always the skinniest and weakest of all my friends. In order to try and catch up with my peers I started lifting weights. I should note that I do not want to be too big, just average. My wife thinks that I have gone too far in trying to bulk up, I think I'm finally getting to be average size. So I wanted to figure out what average size is. I'll post my measurements and I ask that you either post yours, or at least tell me if yours are similar. I would also like to know how you would rate your own size, (skinny, thin, average, built, big, etc)
Arm(bicep) 16" Waist 32" Chest 45" Thigh 26" Calf 15" Neck 17.5" I am 6'5, in case that matters. Thanks in advance |
Well, my measurements are fairly similar - almost bang on, but I am 5'8". At 5'8" and 160 lbs I think it's just the right amount of muscle. At 6'5", personally, I'd feel a bit thinner than I'd prefer with those measurements, but it's all a matter of personal preference. I'd describe your build as "athletic" as opposed to "big" and given where you say you came from, you should feel pretty good about yourself!

Arms are pretty big, legs are small.. I would say you are athletic, sure.

At Highthief's height, you'd be pretty buff. For 6'5" I'd say you're a bit on the lean side, but muscular. Certainly a 32" waist at your height is quite lean indeed.
I'm 6' with a 48-inch chest and a 38-inch waist, but if I lost the 25 or so pounds that I should I'd probably shrink down to 45" and 34." Arms are about 18", and they'd also shrink a bit if I dieted. I consider myself muscular, but on a fairly long frame (long torso, legs not so long), so I'm more stretched-out than bulging. Haven't measured the legs since forever, but I'm a 17 1/2 neck as well. I'm fairly heavy in the shoulders. |
32" waste at 6'5"?? That seems a little out of proportion to me.
